It can be quite hard for the majority of players to manage their skills in a MOBA or MMO game. Having extra buttons on your mouse makes it quite easier to use different combos. Razer Naga is a great mouse that has up to 12 buttons on the side of the mouse. It has a bulkier design and can improve your MOBA gameplay.
However, some users have mentioned issues with their Razer Naga not working in the middle of the match. The mouse just stops moving randomly and you’re not able to do anything. So, if you’re in a similar situation then here are a few fixes that you can follow.
How to Fix Razer Naga Stops Moving Randomly?
- Reset Surface Calibration
The stopping issue comes when the sensor is not able to identify the movement of your mouse relative to the table surface. The good thing is that there is a high chance you can easily fix this error by resetting the surface calibration feature on your Razer Naga. To do so, you just have to hold down all 3 mouse buttons on the top of your mouse for 10seconds. This includes the left, middle, and right buttons. After which your mouse will reset and you just have to open up Razer Synapse and configure surface calibration.
Sometimes a faulty port on your computer system can also cause this problem. A faulty port does not allow the mouse to communicate with your computer system. So, if you’re running into stopping issues then it is likely that you have plugged your mouse into a faulty port.
To fix this, just simply plug the mouse into another port to check if your issue is fixed. You can also try using the mouse with another computer system to determine whether the issue is with your mouse or the computer system.
- Update Synapse
Another very common reason for this error is outdated Synapse on your computer. This is why for some users simply updating the configuration tool to the latest version fixed the error. If your Razer synapse is malfunctioning then there is a good chance that you will run into different issues while using your Razer devices.
If you’re in a similar situation then the first thing you should do is go is clean uninstall the Synapse tool from your computer. To do so, open up your control panel and click on program settings. From there you have to find Razer Synapse and right-click on it to uninstall it. Once that is done you need to reboot your computer system and open up the program files on your computer.
Make sure to delete all of the Razer Synapse files that you can find; some files will be hidden and you will have to unhide them first to remove them from the system. After removing all of the remaining Razer files you should reboot your system again and then download the latest version of Razer Synapse from the official Razer website. After it is installed, log in to your Razer account and configure your mouse. Most likely your issue will be fixed at this point.
- Clean Sensor
It is also very common for dirt particles to get stuck on the mouse sensor which makes it harder for the mouse to track your movement across the table surface. If your table surface is dirty then it is likely that you have the same issue with your Razer Naga. To fix this you need to first unplug the mouse and get yourself a q tip.
Soak the q tip in rubbing alcohol and then clean the sensor with it. Make sure not to use too much pressure or you will end up further damaging the sensor. After cleaning the sensor just wait a few minutes for the rubbing alcohol to dry out and then you try using your mouse again.
If your issue is not fixed even after following all of the above-mentioned fixes. Then we recommend that you ask Razer support to help you out. Send them an email, explaining all the relevant details regarding your issue. This will make it easier for them to identify the actual issue and they will guide you accordingly through different troubleshooting methods. Follow their instructions step by step to increase your chances of fixing the problem.
