Commands are used in Minecraft using the chat. Commands are an advanced feature in Minecraft which is activated by typing specific strings of texts. To type a command, players must have access to the chat window. The chat window is usually accessed using T or / key on the keyboard. The forward-slash (/) is used as a prefix while typing commands.
These commands are used to perform specific tasks in Minecraft. Before typing a command, players need to know that commands are actually case sensitive. Commands are typically written in lowercase letters.
How to Hide Commands in Minecraft
As commands are usually written in the chat, they are typically not hidden. This means others can see the commands written on the chat. The chat is mostly accessible to all the players on the server. Due to this reason, a few players wonder if there is a way on how to hide commands in Minecraft.
Players can definitely hide the commands written on the chat in a server. If you want to hide commands on your own view screen, you can do so using the settings. Just open the chat settings, and turn off the toggle chat commands. This will hide all the commands from your view.
You can also type in the following command to hide commands from your chat:
/gamerule commandblockoutput false
However, if you want to hide commands that you type in a server from other players. Type in the following command in your server chat:
/gamerule sendCommandFeedback false
This will disable the feedback from commands executed by any player in the chat. It is not possible to hide server commands from others if you’re not the owner of the server. But if you own the server, you can install different plugins that will successfully hide all the server commands.
