Warframe is a fast-paced third-person shooter game in which you need to go through different missions by killing hordes of monsters and completing the objectives. The gameplay is pretty fun and there are a lot of things that you can do in this game.
So, you don’t have to worry about getting bored while playing the game. The amount of content might seem overwhelming at first but when you get a hang of the basics then the game will start becoming fun for you.
A lot of returning players were wondering if they can restart Warframe from the beginning. So, let’s go over whether or not it is possible to do that.
Warframe Restart Game
At the moment, no method can help you restart the game on the same account. It just doesn’t work that easy as all of your data is stored on the server and when you log in with a particular account you will resume from where you left off.
So, if you are a returning player and have lost track of all the progress then the only thing that can be done is to utilize the codex in-game. That way you will be able to replay the missions that you want and that will give you a general idea of what you were planning on doing with your character.
The game has been out for several years, and many users took a break from the game after playing it for a few hours. Now, when these returning users come back to the game, they feel lost and don’t have any clear idea of the progress that they have made so far.
This is why they decide to start the game from the beginning. Even though using the codex will give you a general idea of all the missions you’ve completed so far, it can still take you some time to get everything in order.
Creating New Account
One thing that you can do to restart the game is to make a different account and then play the game using that account. Once you’re up to speed then you can switch back to your old account and you won’t have to grind for the extra experience that way.
However, by making a new account you won’t have access to any of the companions and weapons that you’ve collected. But if you still want to make a new account then click on the create account button located on the login screen. Use a new email to make the account and then you can start from the beginning.
For consoles the procedure can be a bit different as the progress is tied with your PS4. If you’re on PS4 then log out of your PS4 and then use the profile select screen to make a new profile. Then you can sign up to the PS network after putting in all the credentials.
After verification of the email address, you can log into the game using the new profile and your game will start from the beginning. However, if you’re making a new account on Xbox then you will also need to subscribe to the Xbox Live service to play Warframe.
You can also try reaching out to the Warframe support team and request them to reset your account data from the cloud profile. If that is possible then they will reset the progress for you on your current account and you won’t have to bother with making a new one. Even though chances of that happening are quite low, there is no harm in trying.
Usually, it is just better to continue the progress from where you left off. Especially if you have rare equipment and advanced stats then it can take up a lot of time to grind back to this stage. So, if you feel lost, you can watch a play-through of specific missions on YouTube to better understand your current progress.
If you’re still on the first planet then it won’t take you much time to go through the codex and you will be up to speed in no time. That is why, if you’re a returning player then stay on the old account and use the codex to replay missions.
