Vashj’ir is one of the many areas that players can enter in WoW. The game is famed for its many different regions that are available for players to explore, and this is just one of them. The area is filled with all sorts of different locations to go to, lots of which hold importance in terms of story and in terms of exploration. There are characters of many different races in this region as well, meaning you can experience a variety of different encounters in Vashj’ir.
The area is mainly accessed through a portal. Upon reaching the vicinity of said portal and clicking on it, players are teleported straight to Vashj’ir. This is known as the Vashj’ir Portal and it is a popular location, as well as a very important one, in WoW. But there are some players that have reported that it doesn’t work for them. If you’re one of these players that are unable to get the Vashj’ir Portal to work in World of Warcraft, here is everything you need to know about fixing the problem.
How to Fix Vashj’ir Portal Not Working In WoW
- Make Sure You’re a High Enough Level
Across the beautiful yet dangerous universe of WoW, there are all sorts of threats. These different threats are scattered throughout different regions. Depending on the threat level of a region, there is a level cap for all of them. This means that players can only enter a specific area in WoW if they are a high enough level, otherwise, they’ll be blocked off from entering. This is so that newer players or underlevelled ones don’t wander off to high threat areas where they’ll get killed immediately.
As with all of the other regions in the game, Vashj’ir also has a level cap. This level cap stops any players under level 80 from entering the area so that they don’t get easily killed off and frustrated by the many high-level enemies and quests in the area. To block passage into the region for underlevelled players, WoW doesn’t allow them to use the Vashj’ir Portal. This is likely why it isn’t working for you either, as you’re likely under level 80. However, if your character is beyond this level and you still can’t get the portal to work, try the following solutions.
- Complete the Intro Quests
When the area of Vashj’ir was introduced to the game a long time ago, it was announced that there are a few intro quests for the region. These prepare players for the specific storyline that takes place within the area, and for all the threats that they’ll face within it as well. It could be that you’re unable to enter Vashj’ir because you haven’t completed the said intro quests.
Check online on official WoW websites and note all of the different intro missions for the area. Make sure that you’ve completed each one as the portal will be locked and won’t work until you’ve cleared them all.
- Talk to the Farseer
Speaking of things that you need to do in order to enter areas, you’ll find it impossible to get into Vashj’ir using the portal if you haven’t talked to the Farseer and done what he tells you to. Go to the portals in Org and talk to the Farseer here. He’ll give you a quest titled “Eye of the Storm”. Complete it and then head over to the docks which are in Org as well. Once you do all of this, the game will start guiding you on the rest which you need to continue on doing.
This is related to the previous solution in the sense that these are also compulsory tasks that you need to complete, otherwise, the Vashj’ir won’t work. Do as you’re guided by the game and complete individual tasks related to the area you’re given until there are none left. After they have all been completed, return to the location of the portal and try to click on it. It should now be unlocked and you should be able to use the Vashj’ir Portal whenever you want.
