Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp is a useful piece of gear in WoW which has a few different applications. - Banked Item
The first thing that you need to make sure of is that the Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp item is not banked and that your character actually has it inside of their bank. Lots of players find out that this specific piece of gear still provides certain boosts even while not equipped and immediately think that they can get said bonuses even if the item is inside their banks.
This is wrong though, as Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp needs to be inside a player’s bag at the very least even if they haven’t had it equipped. As your character doesn’t exactly have the item on them while it is banked, they cannot enjoy its bonuses as well, which is why it won’t work. To fix the issue, simply take it out of the bank and equip it or keep it in your character’s bag so that the bonuses will still remain active.
- Tauren Race Character
Another important reason to keep in mind for Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp not working in WoW is that it never works with Tauren characters. This specific race is able to equip the piece of gear whenever they want, but it won’t actually provide them with any benefit except for the change of appearance. The reason behind this is simple enough.
Tauren race characters actually have passive racial abilities that are quite similar to the ones provided by the Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp. These passive racial abilities make it so that the one’s provided by the glove are no longer active, leading players to believe that it is not working. As this is simply a rule in World of Warcraft, there is no solution except for simply using the item with a character of another race.
- Sell and Retake
Another good solution for this issue which tends to work a lot for players is selling the Gorepetal’s Gentle Grasp to a vendor and then taking it back almost immediately. This tends to fix this bug for unknown reasons.
Similarly, putting the piece of gear inside of a bank and then taking it out again only moments later also seems to work. You can try either option depending on which one is more comfortable for you. Regardless of which option they choose, players should no longer be facing the issue after trying this solution.
