Discord is considered to be one of the most popular apps used for communications purposes. Initially, the app was designed for gamers. However, nowadays, people use it for various purposes such as calling their beloved friends, texting, video calling and connecting with new people through servers. With that said, just like many other apps, the Discord app also comes with some problems. One of these problems is “Discord notification not working” on mobile. Mobile Discord Notifications Not Working
1. Check Mobile Notification Settings.
The first thing you need to check to solve this problem is the mobile notification settings.
- Hold the Discord app for a few seconds.
- A menu will pop up. Click on App info.
- Go to notifications.
- Check if the notification settings are enabled. If not, then simply turn the notifications on.
In this way, the notifications of the app will be turned on on your mobile.
2. Check Discord Notification Settings.
If the app notifications are turned on from the mobile notification settings, then you need to check the notification settings of your app. Here is how to do it:
- Open the Discord app.
- Click on your profile icon.
- Click on app settings.
- Click on notifications.
- Enable all notifications if any of them is turned off.
3. Check Server Notification Settings.
You can also check the notifications settings of a particular server. Check if the server is muted or not. if the server is muted, it will not allow any notifications to be shown on the mobile. Due to this reason, the notification of the app will be restricted. To check the notification of a server:
- Open the Discord app.
- Click on the server you are facing notification problems with.
- Click on the three-dot menu.
- Click on notifications.
- Unmute the server if it was muted.
4. Do Not Disturb Mode.
In case, your mobile is in Do Not Disturb mode, then no notifications will be shown. To close the feature, scroll through the shortcut menu from the top of your Android mobile and simply click on the Do Not Disturb option. This will cause the feature to be turned off.
In case, you are an iPhone user, then open settings and go to the focus option. Click on the Do Not Disturb option and it will turn off the feature.
5. Update The App.
If the Discord app’s software is outdated, it will not allow any notifications to be shown on the screen of your mobile. Such cases can be solved by updating the app. Go to the app store of your mobile phone. Search the Discord app on the search menu. Click on update the app. The app will be updated after a few minutes. Finally, open the app to check for updates and notifications.
