With that being said, there are tons of possibilities within the Minecraft game that allow you to level up and grow your village into something magnificent. However, you might not know how to create them using the resources at hand.
What is a Blast Furnace Recipe In Minecraft?
A blast furnace recipe is like a regular furnace in Minecraft that can help you smelt objects. You can put metal inside the furnace such as ores, armors, or any other tools and it will smelt them so you can use these for construction as you like.
The main difference between a regular furnace and a blast furnace is that it can smelt any item that you put inside in at twice the speed of a regular furnace. While you save some time and smelt objects at twice the speed, it will also consume double fuel for the process. So, you can say that your fuel consumption to smelt any particular item will remain the same with a blast furnace but you will be able to speed up the process and make things faster.
If you are unsure about how you can make a blast furnace and what exactly you are going to need, here is a proper guide that is going to help you through the process and you will be able to craft the blast furnace correctly.
What will you need?
The most important part about crafting a blast furnace is items that you are going to need in order to craft a blast furnace. Make sure that you have the right items in the right quantity before attempting the process as you will not be able to craft the blast furnace if even one of these is missing, you will not be able to create the blast furnace.
To start with, you will need one furnace in your inventory. The furnace you might have placed somewhere is no good, so you will have to shift it to inventory first, or you might need to create a new furnace in your inventory.
Moving forward, you will also be needing 5 iron ingots. They can be sourced easily through mining and you must have them stored in your inventory already. If not, you will need to spend some time mining around and look for these iron ingots.
Then, you will also need to have 3 smooth stones in your inventory. The smooth stones can be found while mining or lying around some places. Once you have all these items collected, you can move forward with the crafting menu.
The Process
After making sure that you have all the necessary stuff required to craft a blasting furnace, you can move forward with the process of crafting, and here is how you can do it.
Access the crafting menu
You will need to open your crafting table with a 3*3 grid. Ensure that you follow the instructions religiously or you will not be able to achieve the set goal and your blasting furnace will not be crafted properly or will not be able to work once it is crafted.
Items placement
So, when you have the right grid open, it will have 9 square boxes exactly and all of them will be empty. It’s better that you start with the furnace first. You need to access your inventory and place your furnace in the middlebox.
Once you place the furnace correctly, move on with placing those iron ingots in the top row. The three boxes on the top row will be filled with the iron ingots there. The remaining two iron ingots will go on the two boxes in the middle row. Leave the box with furnace and place those two remaining iron ingots on each side of the furnace. This way, you will have iron ingots covered the furnace from both sides and the top.
Now, you will need to place those three smooth stones in the bottom row. The only three remaining boxes will be filled each with a smooth stone and you will have your whole grid filled out completely with no empty boxes left. Double-check for the placement and make sure that no box on the grid is left empty.
The final touch
Once you place all the items in the grid as elaborated above, it will be filled and will show the blast furnace in the big box next to the grid on top of your inventory. If you are not able to see the blast furnace, that means you have not followed the process correctly. So, make sure that you check all the instructions again and the blast furnace should appear in the box automatically.
Once the furnace appears, you can drag and drop it to move it to your inventory and you will have the blast furnace ready. Be mindful that the furnace you have used to craft the blast furnace will be gone from your inventory as it is used or upgraded in a manner and you will not be able to use it afterward. The process is also not reversible and you will not be able to get your resources such as iron ingots or smooth stones back once you have used them to craft the blast furnace.
How to Use?
Now, all you need to do is place your blast furnace at an empty block on the Minecraft world from your inventory and it will be installed there. You can use the furnace by sliding fuel to it from the side and insert objects from the top to have them smelt and you will be able to craft something more interesting with those objects with the help of a blast furnace.
