The Advanced Combat Logging feature in WoW is a helpful means of making it easier to parse all the files related to the game externally. This specific trait has many advantages of its own, and the feature also has other benefits as well.
If you’re not capable of enabling the feature in World of Warcraft for whatever reason, you obviously won’t be able to make the most out of its great features. That said, here some of the best ways to get the Advanced Combat Logging in WoW working again if it is not enabled.
How to Solve Advanced Combat Logging Not Enabled WoW?
- Try The Game Settings
One obvious solution which you’ve likely already tried before is to try enabling the feature once again through the game settings. Players will be able to find it and enable it through the in-game settings, specifically inside of the menu which holds all of the network settings.
You can easily get to this menu by pressing the Esc button while playing World of Warcraft and then clicking on the option which is titled as settings. Now head over to the option which is titled as network and click on it.
This will take you to the menu where you needed to go. Here, players will be able to find the Advanced Combat Logging feature, which they can toggle on and off with a simple click of their mouse. Enable it as you usually would and log out of the game.
Now log back in and then go to the settings to see if it is still enabled or if it has been disabled. If it is enabled, then the logs should be working. But if it was disabled when logged back in, move on to the following solutions.
- Delete/Archive Combat Log Files
It is plausible that there’s a problem with your combat log-related files of WoW, which is causing the setting to not work even after you enable it. This issue can be easily resolved by either archiving these files or by completely deleting them from your device.
Either way, the feature will start fresh once you do so and this problem will no longer persist. Depending on your preferences, you can either delete or archive the combat log files. Deleting is the faster and more preferable option in some cases, so we recommend that you go with that.
Players don’t have to worry about losing any data that’s important either, so deleting is usually the approach most take.
- Disable Add-Ons
The next step we recommend if the previous two failed is trying to disable the add-ons that you’re using. If Advanced Combat Logging keeps disabling itself, again and again, it could be that there’s an add-on that is causing the setting to toggle itself off again whenever players turn it on.
Just disable and/or remove the add-ons that you’re using and try enabling the feature once again to see if it works now.
