Minecraft, with is vast procedurally generated world, has a wide array of items at the players’ disposal. Weapons, armor and even consumables that help the player perform better out in the dangerous world. A potion is one of those items, a consumable which grants the user various status effects or healing properties.
There are many different kinds of potions in the game and most of them can be crafted or brewed out of various materials you find around the game world, resulting in either boosts to the player’s stats or resistance against elemental damage. Crafting potions requires a few things before you get started, like crafting a brewing stand in the crafting table using a blaze rod and some cobblestone.
In addition to the stand, you will also need a glass bottle to fill the potion in and some blaze powder and water source for the brewing process. Just add some water, your base ingredient, and then follow brewing recipes to create your desired potion using other ingredients.
Minecraft Potion Of Luck
The potion of luck, being a relatively new addition to the game, cannot be brewed as of yet and is only obtained through commands and is still absent from some versions of the game. You can, however, find it in a chest or the creative mode brewing menu.
Using the potion of luck enhances your Luck attribute temporarily and determines the chances of getting better loot from chests, enemy drops, or even fishing. The higher the level of potion used, the higher the chances of finding high-quality loot.
For example, a custom map may have a chest that gives rotten flesh with bad luck, some iron ingots if you have normal luck and diamonds if the player has increased luck. So, use the potion of luck to increase your chances of finding better loot or save it for a special occasion.
