Transporting Horse in a Boat in Minecraft
After you’ve found a saddle for your steed, you can ride it anywhere you want. Riding a horse means faster traveling speed and bigger jumps than the player, helping you navigate the world easily. And while it can still be ridden in 2 blocks deep water, anything more and the player is automatically dismounted. The perfect solution to carrying your horse over a span of deep water is to use a boat. You can either tow the horse behind the boat or have it sat in the boat and use the lead to tow the boat yourself.
However, players have found that making your horse sit in the boat, and then attempting to get into the boat from underneath can result in the horse sitting sideways and making room for the player to get in and row the boat effectively to wherever they want to go. This way you can transport yourself and your horse without having to worry about abandoning your companion.
