Since the launch of New World Game, players have been reporting a large number of issues involving their mouse and keyboard.
If you’ve had any difficulties with your mouse or keyboard while playing the game, the following are five troubleshooting methods that you may try out to see if they help you fix the issue.
Fixing New World Mouse Issues:
- Check your DPI settings
The first thing to check if you’re experiencing a new World Game Mouse Issue is the DPI settings. The DPI setting, or dots per inch, is how sensitive your mouse is.
To change the DPI setting, go to Settings -> General -> Trackpad and Gestures -> Pointing-> Uncheck Enhance Pointing Performance. You can also use this method if you’re experiencing cursor lag.
- Check If You Have Enough Disk Space
If this doesn’t solve the issue, it may be due to a lack of disk space on your computer. You can check if you have enough disk space by going to Settings -> General -> Storage and scrolling down until you see Usage.
From there, tap on Manage Storage followed by tapping on Apps with High Disk Usage near the top of the screen in order to find which app(s) are using up all of your hard drive space.
- Disconnect any USB devices
Some external devices could be causing issues with games that require a mouse such as New World Game (if these problems occur when connected). These include headphones, microphones, cameras, printers, mice (although I would advise against disconnecting those), scanners etc.
- Check Your Mouse Sensitivity
New World Game’s mouse has a sensitivity issue that causes the cursor to move across the screen too fast. The issue is caused by the mouse acceleration setting being too high. To fix this, you need to set it to low.
- Open your computer’s Mouse Properties by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Mouse
- Go to the Pointers tab and click Advanced Settings at the bottom right of the window.
- Under Acceleration, change your setting from 6/11 (default factory setting) or less to 1/11. Click Apply.
- Check Your In-Game Settings
First, see if you have any options in the game’s settings that will help. For example, on day one in the loading screen you can press to change your video settings.
After that there are numerous times where they’ll give you a pause screen and provide a new video setting to change.
The most common issue is when something goes wrong with the mouse pointer movement but it may be worth testing different video resolutions like 1600×900 as well.
Once you’ve found what may or may not have fixed the issue make sure to save those settings before moving on or trying anything else.
- Update Your Graphics Drivers
New World Game’s mouse issues are caused by out-of-date graphics drivers. Updating your graphics drivers to the latest version should fix this issue.
If you still experience issues, run a virus scan, It could be a virus that is interfering with New World Game’s mouse performance. If that doesn’t work, it might be time for a new computer!
