Planning your characters in Bloodborne begins with the decision of what kind of player you want to be. This is a difficult decision because each point you puts into a statistic will change the way you play the games. For instance, some people wants to play with weapons that require a higher level of Strength to kill their enemies.
Others want to play with weapons that allows for faster attacks and require a higher level of Skill. Other people may choose to use hunter tool, which require Arcane to function. The planning tool is useful in that it is difficult for any person to remember the requirement of each weapon, the stat caps for each attribute, and each blood level.
How to Plan Your Character in Bloodborne
Therefore, using the planning tool will allow you to better understand what kind of player you are when forming your character. The first decision you must make with the planning tool is the origin you would like to use for your character. Your origin will determine your starting statistic and your starting blood level.
Each origin has its own set of stats and blood levels, which will allow you to determine the number of points you need to spend to reach your desired statistics. For instance, if you choose a Military Veteran origin, you will start with high level of Strength and Skill, which will allow you to use better quality weapons for your enemies. If you choose the Cruel Fate origin, you will start with higher level of Arcane, which will allow you to more easy use hunter tools and deal more damage with your elements.
After you have chose your origin, the planning tool will show your stats with your planned points for each attribute. Additionally, the planning tool will calculate your blood level for you. Your blood level will play a huge role in your game play, as your blood level will tell you whether or not you can join in on cooperative or player versus player (PvP) play with others without having the wrong blood level for those modes of play.
Vitality is an attribute that is important to your survival in the game. Many people will find that they need higher Vitality as their character tend to die much more than they would like. However, you can use the planning tool to determine the difference between 25 point of Vitality compared to 35 points of Vitality.
Higher Vitality will allow your character to last longer in the fight against their enemies. Endurance is another statistics for your character. However, it has diminishing returns compared to Vitality.
You need some to be able to move your weapon and dodge attacks from your enemies, but too much will make you feel as if you are uncomfortable with your character as they have too much comfort instead of power. The planning tool will show you the estimations of how much stamina your character will have with your chosen statistics for your character. Weapon choice is one of the most important aspect of your character because each weapon will ask for specific statistics from yourself and your character.
The planning tool will ask you for your statistics and the weapon of choice for your character. It will tell you if your statistics can fulfill the requirements of the weapon of your choice. For example, Chikage requires Bloodtinge, but Saw Cleaver requires both Strength and Skill.
The planning tool will allow you to see how well your statistics work with your weapon so that you know that you are using your statistics appropriately to your weapon of choice. Hunter tools are another aspect of your character build that may be overlooked when you are creating your character. Some hunter tools require low levels of Arcane, but others like A Call Beyond will require high level of Arcane.
The planning tool will allow you to see your Arcane level and the hunter tool that you want to use. This will ensure that you do not waste points in Arcane for a hunter tool that you cant use. PvP and PvE game modes are two of the most important modes in Bloodborne.
In PvP you will fight other player, and in PvE you will fight your enemies. The planning tool will allow you to compare your blood level and your Vitality to the desired blood level for the game mode that you would like to play. This will allow you to see whether or not your blood level is correct for the type of gameplay that you would like to enjoy.
While using the planning tool will ensure that your character has all of the statistics that you require for your preferred type of player, the tool will not prevent your character from dying in the game. Bloodborne will still kill you at times. However, it will allow you to ensure that your statistics is correct with your weapons and hunter tools.
This will allow you to focus on learning how to move and play your built character.
