While there is no debate that experienced players have an amazing time with Destiny 2, the new player experience is not that great. There is just so much content to get through, and if you have no prior experience with Destiny 2, it can take over 2000 hours to get the hang of the basics. Sadly, not every player is ready to put that much time into this game.
Aside from the steep learning curve in Destiny 2, players often struggle with the Override Activities as new content is coming in and going out on a consistent basis. So, if you’re in the same boat, then follow these fixes.
Fixing Destiny 2 Override Activity Not Showing Up
- Use Gauntlet
The first thing that you need to keep in mind is that the overriding activity is available through the H.E.L.M. Map, and you need an active season pass to access these activities. So, if you’re not in possession of a season pass, try upgrading your game package. Otherwise, you won’t be able to play these specialized objectives.
However, if you’re sure that the season pass status is active, just make sure to use the Splicer Gauntlet and then go through some upgrades to unlock the mission. Hopefully, that will be it when it comes to the Override activity not showing up.
- Change Characters
At this point, you just need to change characters and try the same map with a different character. You might just be dealing with a minor bug that is not letting you start the overriding activity. So, cycle through your characters and then try using the gauntlet one more time. Ideally, your issue should be fixed at this point.
- Try Re-accessing H.E.L.M.
Some players pointed out that they were able to fix the issue by re-accessing the H.E.L.M., and you should follow a similar approach. Just exit the game completely and then launch it after waiting for around five minutes. Open up the H.E.L.M. map and talk to the glowing icon, and that will start the overriding activity for you.
- Reboot System
If the issue is not fixed at this point, you will need to refresh the system cache. Just turn off the system completely and then remove the power from the unit as well. You will have to wait for a few hours before launching this game one more time. As long as you’re sure that the season pass status is active, you should be able to access the game at this point.
- Check Rotation
Lastly, you should further check the official forums for the override activity rotation. These activities change on a weekly basis, and the mission that you’re trying to access might be out of the rotation for the current week. So, just keep that in mind and then check the rotation one more time to narrow down the problem. You can’t do much about this situation except wait for the mission to come back into rotation next week or the week after that.
