| Setting | Chance | Use when | Calculator effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| No superior | 0 | Locked or ineligible | No bonus XP |
| Bigger and Badder | 1/200 | Standard unlock | Expected XP added |
| Elite CA | 1/150 | Elite tier claimed | Higher spawn rate |
| Wilderness | 1/180 | Wildy task bonus | 10% better than base |
| Manual | Custom | Testing updates | Uses denominator |
The model uses expected value, so actual superior spawns will vary heavily over short task streaks.
| Choice | Expected effect | XP impact | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| No bracelet | 1.00x kills | Normal | Clean baseline task math |
| Slaughter | 1.33x kills | More task XP | Use on good XP tasks |
| Expeditious | 0.80x kills | Less task XP | Use for points or skips |
| Cannon | 1.35x pace | More XP/hr | Requires cannonable area |
| Barrage | 1.70x pace | More XP/hr | Best on stackable tasks |
Bracelets change real kill count for the assignment; combat methods change time, not Slayer XP per kill.
| Master | Base | 10th | 50th | 100th |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Duradel | 15 | 75 | 225 | 375 |
| Konar | 18 | 90 | 270 | 450 |
| Konar elite diary | 20 | 100 | 300 | 500 |
| Nieve / Steve | 12 | 60 | 180 | 300 |
| Krystilia | 25 | 125 | 375 | 625 |
The calculator also applies 250th and 1000th task multipliers when your projected plan reaches them.
| Level | Total XP | Common unlock focus | Planner use |

Use the target level shortcut to load these XP thresholds without typing the full number.
By this point, you’re likely standing in front of Turael with a Slayer level high enough to tackle some tougher stuff. However, your combat skill are low compared to the creature you want to kill, and your backpack is empty. Rarely is it a decision of “which one has the best loot.” Instead, it’s nearly always an issue of efficiency. How do you get most slayer experience gained per hour while not spending too much money on supplies and not getting too bored with mindless repetition?
This balance of pure gain, cost, and speed is where many players gets stuck. They guess at the difficulty of their task then hope they’ll spawn something better. After entering your starting XP, goal level, and desired combat method, the calculator do the math for you (see above). Gone are the days of guessing if it’s better to kill dust devils while using Barrage or gargoyle with melee.
How to Choose the Best Slayer Tasks
Slayer leveling is non-linear, so the calculator show how long each task should take and how much XP you can expect to earn. This is useful when you hit 70 and think the next 5 levels will be easy, only to reach 75 and find that the XP gain drop off significantly after 80. Suddenly, an hour-long task becomes a two-hour grind without changing tactics.
Consider your superiors: While many players view superiors as random chance, the calculator treats them as an average amount based off your Combat Achievement tier. Claiming any Elite Combat Achievements will raise your superior spawn rate from one in 200 to one in 150. That seemingly tiny difference translates to a lot when we’re talking about hundreds of task. Your run-in with a massive Gargoyle or giant Nechryael is slightly more probable, and that’s exactly what the tool factors in. It adds expected higher XP to its base calculations. A few thousand points here and there may not make much difference on an individual task, but if you’re grinding at a point where every bit matters, that extra thousand might be the thing that allows you to hit level 95 within a month instead of dragging things out across three.
The calculator also makes planning more complex by including bracelets. For example, a Bracelet of Slaughter essentially adds one more kill per every four kills, extending the duration of each task. It’s great for very high-XP monsters where you’d like to get as much experience from them as you can before going back to the slayer master.
On the other hand, a Bracelet of Expeditious reduces your task completion count by 25%, meaning you’ll only need to kill 75% of the monsters assigned. (It doesn’t give you more exp/hour since your kill speed caps your overall xp/hour, though). This means if you’re looking to level up fast, Slaughter is the way to go. However, Expeditious will massively boost your points/hour. This makes it the best option if you want to make a new task master available faster then hitting level 99 would allow. The calculator reflects this tradeoff by recalculating the number of tasks needed to reach your desired xp.
Time management has as much to do with combat style as anything else. Barrage and burst is incredibly fast on stacked monsters like Dust Devils or Nechryaels, but can be deadly if you’re not careful about your positioning; wasted shots on non-targets waste your time. Using a cannon is a wild card. It all hinges on the defense of the monster you plan to use it against. You can also switch between regular attacks, barrages, and cannons. This lets you use the tool to see what kind of estimated XP per hour you get. That 1.7x speed bonus from Barrage doesn’t sound too shabby, but it won’t help if the monster you’re fighting isn’t particulary vulnerable to a lot of magic damage when grouped up. That bonus will completely vanish if you’re doing melee-based tasks such as Kurasks or Bloodvelds.
Overlooking point streaks decreases efficiency Beginners frequently make the mistake of running low-Slayer masters just to farm points. They don’t realize how the multiplier system work. I’ve added a point projection section to the calculator that takes into account your current streak and the master you choose. It also reminds you that getting to your 10th task, your 50th task, or your 100th task means huge bonuses! You’re costing yourself points if you ignore those milestones. They could of given you access to better masters or unlocked elite diary rewards months ago. Keeping track of your streak lets you know you’re not leaving any free value on the table out of preference for one monster type over another.
In conclusion, Slayer isn’t so much brute strength as it is optimizing. Match your load-out, position, and task selection with your real objectives. Knowing what you’re doing helps avoid burning out, whether it’s your first go at Krystilia or you’re after that sweet skillcape. And while the math doesn’t lie, it also doesn’t tell the full tale. Half of it is knowing how to stick to the path you’ve chosen to follow. Begin with presets, tweak them for your style, and trust the numbers to lead you to the next task.
