Mordecai is a character who has three different skill trees for you to use: Sniper, Rogue, and Gunslinger. Each of these trees provide different skills to Mordecai, and you get to choose how to allocate his skill points to ensure that he function in the game the way that you would like. If you allocate his skill points incorrectly, he wont be able to defeat the enemy he encounters.

However, if you allocate his skill points correctly, he will maintain a good rhythm of combat with his enemies. The Sniper tree is focused on allowing Mordecai to land critical hit on his enemies. As a result, Mordecai earns benefits such as an increased reload and firepower once he land these critical hits.

Mordecai: Sniper, Rogue and Gunslinger Skills

Furthermore, the skill Trespass allow him to bypass the shield of his enemies. This skill is helpful when fighting armored enemies. Another important skill is Killer, which allow Mordecai to maintain the momentum he created when he killed one of the enemies.

The Rogue tree is focused on Mordecais pet, Bloodwing. This tree allow Mordecai to improve Bloodwings attack on the enemies. This is beneficial when there are several enemy to fight.

Bloodwing is skilled at fighting multiple enemies at once. The skill Bird of Prey allow Bloodwing to attack more enemies before his skill cooldown period begins. The skill Out For Blood allow Mordecai to gain health when Bloodwing kills one of his enemies.

However, Bloodwing has a cooldown of approximately 28 second for this skill, so you may need to allocate other skill points to ensure that cooldown period is reduced. The Gunslinger tree is for close-range combat with pistols. Deadly and Gun Crazy are the skills in this tree, and they makes Mordecais pistols more effective during combat.

The skill Relentless allow Mordecai to use his action skill again after he kills one of his enemies using his guns. This skill tree is helpful when you want high damage out of your character. However, you must be close to the enemies when you use this skill tree.

Mordecai has 64 skill points that you can allocate to his skill trees at level 69. You must allocate these skill points wise so that you dont leave any skill tree unfinished; every five skill points will allow you to unlock the next tier of a skill tree. Furthermore, your class mod will amplify the skills chosen for you; a Sniper class mod will increase the damage of your critical hits, while a Gunslinger class mod will increase the rate of fire of your pistols.

The difficulty of the game will change as you advance through your playthroughs. The stage that you are playing through will change how you use Mordecai in the game. For instance, in the first playthrough, the enemies have low shields.

For the second and a half playthrough, the enemies will have high shield and health. In this stage, you must use skills such as Trespass to bypass the shields of your enemy. Furthermore, you will require skills such as Riotous Remedy that provide healing to the player for these stage.

Mordecai can be built in a variety of ways. One build that you could choose is the Sniper build for when fighting bosses. On the other hand, the Rogue build will be better for players who encounter a variety of large groups of enemies.

The Gunslinger build will allow for close-range combat to be fought quick. However, this build will be riskier for the player since he will have to be close to the enemies. You can build Mordecai the way that best fit your equipment and the kind of enemies you will encounter in the game.

You should avoid focusing only on one of the skill trees. For instance, a Sniper build will work best for a single player who is fighting a variety of bosses. However, a group of players may benefit more from the Rogue skill tree that allow for a pet to fight the enemies.

You should also consider your damage per minute for the game and your ability to stay alive. It is useless to have high damage output if you die in the game too soon. Finally, you should remember that the best rhythm is to use your pet, fight enemies with critical hits, and use your capstone skill during combat.
