Halo Infinite has been out for over a month now, and we’ve all heard about the new announcer and the classic Master Chief armor. But what about the actual gameplay? Are there any new features in Halo Infinite that might surprise you? If you’re wondering how to master the art of aiming in Halo Infinite, then you’ve come to the right place!
Here, we’ll give you tips and tricks to help you aim like a pro when playing your favorite game series ever, Halo! Let’s get started with our Halo Infinite aiming guide!
How To Improve Aim Halo Infinite?
A fundamental step in the Halo Infinite aiming process is rotating. Rotating will increase your accuracy in hitscan weapons (sniper rifle, heavy machine gun, pistol) as well as improve your accuracy in most projectile weapons (shotgun, plasma pistol). In order to rotate correctly with projectile weapons, you’ll need to run along with your target for about one second before shooting. To rotate for hitscan weapons, use a technique called strafing.
All right! Let’s say you’ve been playing Halo for years and now you’re finally deciding it’s time to get good. How do you get started? It all starts with your input device (in this case, your mouse). We are going to go through each step so that way it becomes a habit that will lead to other parts of your gaming. The first thing is adjusting the mouse sensitivity. On most games, the default setting is too slow and we need to increase it. If you are using Windows 10 then follow these steps:
- Click on Settings > Devices > Mouse & touchpad > Additional mouse options> Sensitivity> Set point speed slider to maximum or close to it depending on what feels comfortable enough for you.
- Next, adjust your in-game mouse sensitivity settings. In Halo Infinite there are three different options you can choose from Absolute – The higher the value, the faster and more precise aiming will be.
- Player Aim Style – The lower the value, the slower and less precise aiming will be.
- Dampening Coefficient – The higher the value, the smoother aiming movement becomes but it also decreases accuracy.
- Speed Factor – The higher the value, the faster player input commands are carried out.
- We want to set our mouse sensitivity based on our preference as well as take into account how much time we have per shot/movement to make sure everything is as accurate as possible without wasting time.
- For example, if you have 1 second per shot and you set your mouse sensitivity at 50% then you would not have much room for error when moving around because you’re in-game movements would happen very quickly.
- However, if you have 1 minute per shot and set your mouse sensitivity at 50%, then you’re in-game movements would happen slowly which means you could allow for more errors. So, the moral of the story is that the higher the value means more difficult gameplay whereas lower values mean easier gameplay.
