- Can’t hit players far away
If you can’t hit players that are far away, your camera angle is likely set too high. Hit the square button on your controller twice and then the triangle button once to adjust this.
You can also disable the inverted Y axis in the options menu and try changing your camera manually until you find a good setting.
Some people have even found success by turning off auto-targeting and manual targeting as well.
- Can’t move the character
If you can’t move your character, it could be because the game is trying to fight for you instead of letting you control yourself.
Hit the X button on your controller twice quickly and then hold it down for about 10 seconds or so. Your character should now stop fighting for themselves and start fighting for you!
- Getting No Combo Bonus When Attacking Enemies with Armor
The best way to get a combo bonus on an armored enemy is by attacking the weak point, which is usually at the head or chest.
If you’re not getting a combo bonus, then it’s most likely because you’re just hitting their armor and not the weak point.
Find a spot where there’s some open space between their armor and the ground to make sure that your attack is going through them rather than bouncing off of them.
Another solution is to use melee weapons such as whips and claws in order to inflict more damage up close.
- Not Receiving Damage Bonus When Attacking Enemies with Armor
The first major problem you’ll face in multiplayer is when your damage doesn’t seem to be as effective.
This can happen when an enemy has armor on, but the game doesn’t tell you about it. Luckily, the developers have a way around this.
As long as you’re using a weapon that’s strong against their armor type, you’ll receive a damage bonus.
For instance, if they’re wearing light armor and your weapon is strong against light armor, then your attacks will deal more damage than usual.
- Fighting against monsters that shoot you from afar
Fighting against monsters that shoot you from afar is a common issue that can be solved by getting close enough for them to start shooting you.
But this can be difficult when the monster is too quick for you to get close, or if the monster shoots at a distance that’s too far away.
To remedy this problem, try using a melee weapon and attacking in front of where they are standing.
This will make it easier for you to get close without having their projectiles stop you in your tracks.
- Attacking An Enemy But It Doesn’t Go Into Your Combo Gauge Because You’re Too Far Away
If you’re a long way from an enemy, you might find that your attacks are not going into the combo gauge, even if they connect.
This is because the game registers hits in meters instead of feet. Make sure you’re within range before attacking and keep an eye on the distance meter to see if it changes.
If the enemy is too far away, use ranged abilities instead of melee ones.
- Not Being Able To Attack An Enemy Because You Are Too Close For Your Gun Attacks, But Too Far For Melee Attacks
This is an awkward situation when you’re too close for ranged attacks, but not close enough for melee attacks.
The best thing to do in this situation is just wait it out. If the enemy gets close enough, then you can use your melee attack and then back off again.
The only time this isn’t a good idea is if the enemy is about to attack you and there are no other options.
- Can’t Attack Due To Poor Angle/Distance Between You And The Monster/NPC
This is a common problem that can be solved by utilizing the camera controls. Players are able to change the angle of their viewpoint and zoom in or out, which is especially helpful when needing to attack from a distance.
