There is a flaw in Fallout 76 that prevents you from moving your mouse to the right side of the screen.
We hope that Bethesda will remedy this error in an upcoming patch, but in the meanwhile, here are some alternatives players have on how to fix the issue.
Fixing Fallout 76 Can’t Move Mouse To Right Side Of Screen
- Update Your Video Card Drivers
Updating your video card drivers is one of the most common troubleshooting steps for when you can’t move your mouse to the right side of the screen.
All you need to do is head over to your computer manufacturer’s website, download and install any and all updates. Here’s how:
- Go to NVIDIA driver support page
- Click on driver downloads
- Choose detailed information about my graphics card
- Type in your computer model number
- Type in the date that Windows was released
- Type in your current operating system
- Select which type of driver software you want
- Follow any other prompts
- Download and install the updated software
- Check to see if your issue has been resolved
- Change Resolution
If you can’t move your mouse to the right side of the screen, change your resolution. Go to Settings -> Display and Brightness -> Resolution and set it to 1920 x 1080. That should solve your problem!
- Clean Install Game
This might seem like a drastic measure, but it’s worth a try. Uninstall your game and reinstall it. This can be done by following these instructions:
- Open Steam and find your Fallout game on the list
- Click Delete Local Content
- Reinstall the game when prompted and let it install completely without any errors or interruptions
- When installation is complete, restart your computer before opening the game again. If this doesn’t work you may need to contact Bethesda Support for further assistance
- Remove AMD overlay
To remove AMD overlay, you need to uninstall it first. To do this, open up settings in your start menu and click on programs and features.
From there, select AMD then click uninstall/change. After that, restart your computer and launch fallout 76 again.
If everything went as planned, your problem should now be solved. If not, make sure all your drivers are updated and then contact customer support at Bethesda.
5. Run As Administrator
Open up your Task Manager and make sure you’re running as administrator. If you have Windows 10, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
If you have Windows 7, press Ctrlx+Esc. Click on the Processes tab and find Fallout76_x64.exe or fallout76_x86.exe, right click on it, and select run as administrator. This should allow you to move your mouse cursor to the right side of your screen again!
