Sure, go ahead and debate fire rate if you’d like. But when it comes to a firefight, there’s no metric other then how you’re gonna use up the rest of your ammo. On paper, this sounds obvious. But in practice, most players view their magazine as a limitless supply, until they run out of bullets during a firefight. Guess what? That isn’t true. Magazine capacity don’t equate to strength. It’s more like a bucket with a hole in the bottom and that hole depends entirely based off your accuracy.

So after plugging in all your weapon stats into the calculator, it spits out the numbers. But you have to know what they mean. So first, consider number of hits per kill. That’s not simply damage over health points. It accounts for armor penetration, shield breaking, and the reality that most shots don’t even connect.

Why Accuracy Matters More Than Ammo

So if you’re wielding a five-hit-kill assault rifle with a 30 round mag, that doesn’t equal six possible kills. Depending on how many of those shots land on floor, that equals two or three potential kill max. Folks tend to count bullets rather than hits. For example, if you do 30 damage to an enemy with only ten hitpoints remaining, you’ve wasted 20 points of value. Those are points of value you can no longer spend.
