Apex Legend has made headlines since its release in 2019. The battle royale is a spin-off from the highly successful game developers of Titanfall. Based in the same universe, the success of Apex Legends left the gaming world in awe with its stealth release. With a faced paced gameplay and a list of palatable characters to choose from, the game is everything from highly anticipated battle royale to scavenging. This game is the newest hype that is taking over the gaming world. With over 25 million active players in 2022, the game has amassed a fanbase of pro players and players alike. The game has now been promoted to include a rise in tournaments across the globe.
Why Did My Level Reset in Apex Legends?
With the massive success of the game since its 3 years of release. The game has also seen its fair share of bugs and reports of games crashing. Recently the players have reported that the progress that they made was automatically reset and that they lost all their progress on the levels that they were playing. The game would just functionally reset all of their progress. Imagine your frustration when you log into your Apex Legend account and see all your progress set to one and all stats from the previous reset. News of other players also reported that their ranks from the current season were also reset.
This would leave any player angry and breaking their controller when they find out that all of their progress is wiped out. Imagine spending hundreds of hours playing Apex Legend and all to find it reset when you wake up one day. Apex Legend players on PS4 also reported that this bug was particularly affecting them.
The game developers took notice of the problem and Respawn came out with a statement saying that the developers have noticed an issue with the database shard which they think is contributing to the recent loss of progress for the players. They also mentioned that the players will be moving onto another database shard until the developers get back the lost progress of the players and have it fully recovered. Respawn also mentioned that they will be publishing a new updated patch for the game that will not have problems associated with database loss for its players.
Respawn came up with a reason for the players for PS who were facing this issue and said it could be because they were changing their emails associated with the EA account. The game developers are not completely sure of this right now but are working on a solution for this problem. As horrifying as it sounds to lose all your progress being lost on your favorite game, rest assured that Respawn is working to get all your lost progress back. With the new introduction of the War Games event happening globally, Respawn is busy getting its servers to work efficiently so that the players are not faced yet again with any other inconveniences.
