Fixing Rainbow Six Siege Not Going Full Screen:
- First, Check Your Settings
If you’re having trouble getting Rainbow Six Siege to go full screen, the first thing you should check is your settings. Make sure that the game is set to run in full-screen mode in the graphics options. If it’s already set to run in full screen, try changing it to windowed mode and back again. This can sometimes fix the problem.
- Install The Latest Drivers
If you’re having trouble getting Rainbow Six Siege to go full screen, one potential solution is to install the latest drivers. This can be done by visiting your graphics card manufacturer’s website and downloading the latest drivers from there. Once you’ve installed the drivers, restart your computer and try launching Rainbow Six Siege again. If the game still doesn’t go full screen, try one of the other solutions below.
- Uninstall And Reinstall The Game
If you’re still having trouble getting Rainbow Six Siege to go full screen, your last resort is to uninstall and reinstall the game. This will delete any corrupt files that may be causing the issue and give you a fresh start. Here’s how to do it:
- Close out of all instances of Rainbow Six Siege by going to Alt+F4 or using Task Manager.
- Uninstall the game through Steam by clicking on Library, then click on Games, select RAINBOW SIX SIEGE, and then right-click on Delete Local Content.
- Open up Steam again and hit Library, find Rainbow Six Siege again under Games, right-click on it, and hit Properties. Hit the button labeled Uninstall at the bottom of this menu. Select Delete once more when prompted with a dialogue box.
- Edit Rainbow Six Siege .ini file
If you’re having trouble getting Rainbow Six Siege to go full screen, you may need to edit the games .ini file. To do so, follow these steps
- Open a notepad and paste this code:
- Save it as RainbowSixSiegeFullScreen.txt in your Ubisoft folder and open it up again.
- Replace all instances of screenWidth with your desired resolution (must be set in pixels). For example, if you wanted to play on 1920×1080 resolution, change all instances of screen width to 1920 and change screen height to 1080. When done, save the file and restart Rainbow Six Siege. Now when you launch the game, it should automatically go into fullscreen mode!
- Also, there’s another thing in GameSettings.ini, set WindowMode to 0 and fullscreen to 1, and save the file with read-only so once you start the game it doesn’t change the .ini settings. This fix will force the game to enter in fullscreen mode.
