Primo in Violet City in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver will trade four Easy Chat words for eggs or wallpapers. These aren’t necessary for battle strength, but make the PC feel completey. Since the system’s using your Trainer ID as a seed for the passwords, it works because it’s predictable; you’ll get exactly what you’re given. There’s no guesswork after you figure out how it work. Once you have done so, the calculator do all the work for you.
Simply input your five digit trainer id. Select the item you wish to recieve as a reward. The calculator will then output the necessary four word phrase for this reward. This eliminates having to test various phrases on Primo until he take it. It reduces a tedious process down to simple equation.
How to Trade with Primo Easily
The system relies on your Trainer ID more than anything else. Not only does it serve as label for you, it’s the key to your account if you change games and wish to retain same IDs. Because the ID remains the same but reward type changes, the calculator use it as a fixed value. It even deals properly with leading zeros; 01234 functions identically to 1234. Now you can swap codes with fellow trainers without getting mixed up.
Some words is only valid for the game depending on language setting. For example, there is a set list of three hundred and fifty-one words in the English version. And they’re all you have to work with. They need to be entered exactly as they appear. If you enter an English word into a Japanese or German cartridge, it won’t work. Never. Ever.
The validator feature let you test phrases before committing them in-game to act as safety net against rejection. The bonuses it grants also assist with game progress. For instance, Flame Body from the Slugma egg will cut a player’s egg hatching progress down by half, helping those who want to breed for certain stats more quickely. Failing that, there can be errors with capitalisation or word ordering. Easy Chat is very picky when it comes to formatting of words. For example, it always output words in uppercase to match the game’s internal dictionary. This is because the words are in the game’s dictionary. If you type them out in lower case, it may not accept them. Transcribing from the output removes this error. You can also use the validator feature to try your phrase beforehand so it doesn’t get rejected in-game.
