While adventuring in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) like New World, it is essential to have the ability to communicate with other players.
If you are unable to communicate with the other members of your team, you may find that you are forced to struggle through severe battles without much opportunity for preparation or discussion.
This may make the game far more challenging and stressful than it should be. If your in-game voice chat isn’t functioning, here are some troubleshooting steps that can help you get it back up and running again in no time!
Resolving New World In Game Voice Chat Not Working
- Failure Problems With The New World Voice Chat Port
Voice chat is unavailable to players in New World, making it impossible for them to communicate with pals.
The mistake that has occurred in the game is referred to as a Port Failure Error. There are currently no official remedies available for the problem; however, there are a few options that may be used to repair the mistake.
Put the game to bed and then pick it back up as an administrator. Before starting the game, make sure Steam is entirely closed and then start it up again while logged in as an administrator.
Launch Steam in administrative mode by pressing Shift+RMB. Now launch Steam and the game, and then exit both programs. It should not be necessary for the player to have administrative rights in order to manage the game.
- New World’s Voice Chat Getting Turned Off
The players in New World have the ability to reactivate the voice chat that was previously disabled. In the New World, there are no assaults with an automatically locked target.
So, the players have to target and attack with solid hands. At each successive level, the adversaries are given more sophisticated and powerful skill sets for their offensive behavior.
Because of this, the players will need to engage in combat with their adversaries by using their stamina, health, dodges, weapon blocks, or creeping stealth.
You have the option of developing your skills with a bow, hammer, hatchet, fire staff, life staff, musket, spear, sword/shield, or ice gauntlet when it comes to the weapon skill tree.
- Check Your Settingss
The first thing you should do is check your settings. Make sure that voice chat is enabled and make sure the slider is set to on.
You can also check your microphone settings on your PC to make sure your microphone is on. If you’re still having trouble, try unplugging any other devices that are plugged into the same input as your computer and then plugging them back in one at a time.
- Update Your Drivers
The first step is to make sure your drivers are up to date. If you’re using Windows 7 or 8, then you can use Windows Update to automatically update your drivers.
If you’re using Windows 10, then you’ll need to download and install the drivers from your manufacturer’s website.
You may also have issues if you have a Realtek sound card installed on your system. You can uninstall this sound card by following these steps:

- Double click Realtek High-Definition Audio
- Click Uninstall.
- Restart your PC
- Test Your Microphone
- Make sure your microphone is plugged into the jack on your computer or laptop.
- Check that the volume for your microphone is turned up by clicking on the speaker symbol, and then going down to where it says volume.
- Check that your voice chat settings are on by clicking on the gear icon at the top of the screen and going to voice chat.
- Make sure you have a good internet connection.
- If none of this work, try restarting your game. If this doesn’t fix the problem, click here.
- Check For Server Issues
If your voice chat is not working, first make sure the game servers are up and running. If that does not solve the problem, try restarting your game client and turning off any live streaming apps you may have run. If these steps do not fix the problem, you may need to contact customer support for assistance.
