- Check for Updates
If you are experiencing a black screen on your computer, check for game updates to see if there’s a possible update regarding this issue. To check the update. Here’s how:
- Open up the Steam app and right-click on God Eater Resurrection.
- Select Check for Updates or Update, and then follow the prompts to download.
- install any new updates.
- Make sure that Steam is not in Offline mode when checking or downloading updates.
- Update Graphic Drivers
If you’re experiencing a black screen after starting the game, it could be due to outdated graphics drivers. Update your graphics drivers and restart your PC. Here’s how:

- Run the Game in Low-Resolution Mode
One of the most common causes for a black screen is when you run the game in low-resolution mode.
To fix this, go to your god eater resurrection file, right-click it and select properties.
Click on the compatibility tab and under settings make sure force windowed mode is unchecked.
If you’re running Windows 10, you might have to do some digging to find where the game executable is located.
In order to run games in Compatibility Mode with Windows 10, open Settings and then System -> Display -> Advanced Display Settings -> Advanced sizing of text and other items.
Under this menu is an option called Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays with a dropdown menu that allows you to select Low Resolution or Normal. Choose Low Resolution and restart the game.
