In the game Cyberpunk 2077, the attribute points for the character V help to determining the capabilities of V. The attribute points for V can change the way that V performs in the combat and the way that V interacts with the worlds. The attribute points are a limited resource for V, so V must decide how to distribute the attribute points to ensure V is effective in the game. If V spreads the attribute points too thin across the available attributes, V will not have enough attribute points in each of the attributes to unlock powerfully perks.
However, if V puts too many attribute point into one single attribute, V may become too specialized in there abilities and not have the utility needed to survive in combat in different situations. There are five core attribute for V in the game. The five attributes are Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence, and Cool.
How to Spend V’s Attribute Points
The Body attribute increase V’s physical toughness and allows V to use shotguns. The Reflexes attribute increases V’s speed and mobility and enables V to use blade. The Technical Ability attribute increases V’s ability to use cyberware and technical weapons.
The Intelligence attribute increases the amount of RAM for V and allows V to use quickhacks. The Cool attribute increases V’s stealth and critical hit and is useful for players looking to use pistols or sniper rifles. Each attribute can earn a maximum of 20 attribute points.
However, the important attribute point milestone are at 4, 9, and 15 attribute points. At 4 attribute points in a specific attribute, V will unlock basic perks. At 9 attribute points in an attribute, V will unlock mid-tier power.
Finally, at 15 attribute points in an attribute, V will unlock major perks that can change the way V plays the game. Therefore, V should of choose one primary attribute to spend at least 15 attribute points into and one secondary attribute to support the primary attribute. Many players make the mistake of trying to find a balance in all of the attributes for V. Using a balanced approach, however, will result in V being more mediocre in all of their attributes.
Instead, many players should opt for a specialized approach to ensure that V can gain the most powerfully perks in the game. Players who want to play as a Street Samurai, for instance, should focus on attributes like Reflexes and Cool to ensure that V can land critical hit on enemies. Those who would like to play as a Netrunner, on the other hand, should focus on attributes like Intelligence and Technical Ability to allow V to equip more cyberwares.
Cyberware for V cost points in the attribute called Technical Ability, which determines how much cyberware V can equip. The more points that players spend on Technical Ability, the more cyberware V can equip, such as Sandevistans or optical camouflage. However, V also need to have enough points in the Body attribute to ensure that V can survive enemy attacks that may occur without the protective capability of the cyberware.
Additionally, the Relic system, introduced in the Phantom Liberty expansion, provides other ways to spend attribute points. Relic points allow players to make custom build for V to specialize in different attributes rather than having to rely on the standard attribute points. Players should also be aware of how many attribute points they have overall.
V has a limited amount of attribute points, and spending too many of them on attributes at the start of the game will make it difficult for V to reach the 15-point mark in their main attribute. When V reaches the 15-point mark, V can gain access to major perks that provide the most benefit to V during combat. Lastly, players should test out different attribute point split to see which works best for their specific playstyle and ensure that V can complete missions.
