In Assassin’s Creed Origins, the skill tree is a system that the player have to consider carefuly due to the way that the skill tree determine how a player play the game. There are three branch to the skill tree: the Hunter branch, the Seer branch, and the Warrior branch. Each of these branches provide abilities for the player, and each of the branches support a different playstyle for the player.
The Hunter branch is design for players who want to play with stealth and from distance, as it allow the player to use predator bows to eliminate guards from a distance. The Seer branch is for players who use the tools and poison in their arsenal, as they provides sleep darts that can incapacitate groups of enemy. The Warrior branch is used for players who want to engage in direct combat with the guard, as the Warrior branch provide abilities like shield bash that can eliminate enemies in melee combat.
How to Choose and Plan Your Skill Points
If a player pick a branch that does not match a players preferred playstyle, then the player may find it difficult to complete some of the combat levels in the game. To gain abilities within the skill tree, players earns skill points through leveling up the player controls. Players earns one skill point for every level that the player reach.
Additionally, players earns bonus skill points if they complete all of the papyrus puzzle and find hidden tomb in the game, however, these skill points is limited and players must decide between using their skill points to increase their basic skill or increasing their advanced skill that take players to different branch within the game. If players use their skill points incorrect, they may find that they run out of skill points before they can access some of the most important skill. Synergy within the game allow players to make combat more easier by using the abilities from each of the three branches together.
For instance, using sleep darts from the Seer branch will put enemies to sleep, but then the player can use the Hunter branch to eliminate those sleeping guards. Similarly, using the Warrior branch for melee attacks can allow the player to better defend themselves when enemies comes into close combat with the player, which is important when the player is using stealth combat to eliminate guards. A balanced build for a player take points from each branch, but a balanced build will take longer for a player to reach the maximum power for any specific branch.
A common mistake for players is that they does not account for the total amount of skill points that they have available. For instance, at the beginning of the game when players has low levels, there are few skill point available. However, at higher level, such as level 25 or 40, players has more skill points to allocate towards their preferred skill for combat.
Thus, players should not waste their skill points on less important ability at the beginning of their leveling up of the character. Players has the ability to change their skill points through the process of respeccing their character. Respeccing their character cost them drachmae, however.
Thus, this is an expensive process if the player is also trying to purchase new gear for there character. For these reason, it is a better process to plan their skill points in advance rather than using the respec process. Therefore, planning their characters skill points will ensure that the character support the player throughout the game.
