Outpost Defense in NIKKE are a system that generates resource for you in the background while you focus on other aspect of the game. Outpost Defense generates four differents resources for you at an hourly rate. The amount of resource that Outpost Defense generates is dependent upon the number of stage that you have cleared in your campaign.
After a period of twenty-four hours, Outpost Defense reach a maximum limit in relation to the resources that it generate for you. However, if the twenty-four hour period pass, Outpost Defense will generate your resources at a more reduced rate. In order to understand when to claim your resources and push new stages for your campaign, you must understand how Outpost Defense convert your cleared stages into a rate of resources generated.

The calculator included on this page will help you to mathematical calculate your Outpost Defense resources once you enter the values for the hourly rate of your Outpost Defense resources. The resources entered into the calculator are your current hours and any Academy lesson that you have completed. You can use these numbers as your final numbers for Outpost Defense, or you can use them as your base numbers for your Academy lessons.
Using Outpost Defense with these base rate will help you understand how a future Academy lesson will impact your Core Dust rates each day. Knowing your Core Dust rates will help you understand if your Academy lesson will provide you with enough Core Dust to reach your goal within NIKKE. Your stage progress is connected to your Outpost Defense levels.
For every five stage that you complete in your campaign, your Outpost Defense level will increase by one. Many players choose to complete additional stages beyond the number required to increase your Outpost Defense level. By doing so, you will maximize the amount of resources that is provided to you when you claim your Outpost Defense levels.
The Outpost Defense calculator will help you to track the number of stages that you have completed in your current campaign cycle, as well as the number of stages that you plan to complete. Based on the number of stages that you have and will complete, the calculator will show you how many Outpost Defense level that you will earn, as well as show you what your new remainder of stages will be. The Outpost Defense calculator will also subtract the Commander EXP that you earn during your campaign from the number of Wipe Outs that you will complete.
Wipe Outs do not earn Commander EXP for players, so removing Commander EXP from Wipe Outs ensures that your totals for the day are realistic for your resource planning. The timing of your Core Dust resources is another calculation that many players perform within NIKKE. The Outpost Defense calculator will help you to determine the total amount of Core Dust that you will earn each day by multiplying the hourly rate of Core Dust by the number of effective hour that you will earn Core Dust.
The effective hours for Outpost Defense are the hours that your resources are earned at a full rate, the hours at a reduced rate after twenty-four hours, and the number of Wipe Outs that you plan to use as part of your Outpost Defense efforts. Divide your desired amount of Core Dust by the total Core Dust that you will earn each day. This calculation will allow you to determine the number of day that you will need to wait until you earn your target amount of Core Dust.
This calculation is only accurate if your hourly rate for Core Dust remain the same. In order to account for the potential change to your hourly rate, there is a growth bias selector for the player. If you select the Core Dust focus profile for your growth bias, your Core Dust resource multiplier will be increased, and the other resource multipliers will be decrease.
Squad readiness for the next stage of the campaign is dependent upon the strength of your current squad and your Outpost Defense levels. Outpost Defense will compare the power of your current squad to the power that is required for the next stage of the campaign. Your Burst coverage will be scored with the number of unit that have Burst I or Burst II abilities and a cooldown of twenty seconds.
Furthermore, Outpost Defense will calculate if you have at least two units with Burst III abilities and damage dealer in your current squad. If your readiness score is low for your current stage, you may need to add a utility Nikke into your fifth position for your squad. A utility Nikke has Burst abilities and can repair cover for your squad, making your Full Burst abilities more reliable when completing objectives in-game.
The reference tables included on this site allow players to understand the exact multiplier for normal claims, overflow hours, and Wipe Outs for Outpost Defense. These tables also show example structure for your squad with Full Burst abilities. Understanding your potential structure for your squad will help you to avoid adding element that will weaken your current squad.
Many players would make the mistake of adding a third unit with Burst III abilities when the structure requires a unit that has a cooldown of twenty seconds for its Burst ability. Such a unit will allow the Burst III units in the squad to fire more often. Outpost Defense can be easily ignored by many player.
By ignoring Outpost Defense, the resources will remain at the maximum limit for the Outpost Defense screen.
