💡Planning Tips
The attribute systems in Oblivion Remastered determines many aspects of the game; the attribute system in particular affects an player’s health, magicka, movement speed, and carry weight. The attribute system is important for player because the attributes will affect the player’s character in combat and in terms of the weight that the player’s character can carry. Furthermore, when the player decide on their ideal character, they must consider the way that the attributes will affect that player and there character.
One tool that can assist the player is the planning tool. The planning tool calculates the trade-offs for each attribute point that the player choose to allocate to their character. To use this planning tool, the player simply inputs their current attributes and their desired goals for their character.
How to Use the Attribute Calculator
The planning tool utilizes attributes like the player’s race and birthsign, their major skill gain, and calculates the results of each of those choice. The game reward players for focusing on their attributes. If a player decides to spread their attribute points across many different skill, they will receive bonuses for each skill that are smaller than if they focus their attribute points on a few specific skills.
The calculator display for the player which attributes are close to receive a bonus and which attributes is lagging behind in relation to the rest of the character. Furthermore, the attribute calculator follows the rules for the Oblivion Remastered game, which indicate that Luck cost four times as much as the other attributes. Because of this, players must treat Luck as if it is an investment in their character, especially if they would like their character to have high Luck attributes.
The attribute calculator also displays information for the player about their projected statistics. For instance, the system will calculate health to determine if the player’s character will be able to survive enemy attack, magicka and fatigue will be projected to determine if the player is able to continue to use spell and stamina, the character will be given an encumbrance figure to determine the weight that the player’s character can carry, and the readiness percentage will be calculated to determine how close the player’s character is to the next level that the player can earn. Each player’s choice in the race and birthsign for their character will impact their attributes.
For instance, if an player choose the Altmer race, that player’s character will start with high Intelligence attribute. Furthermore, if that player chooses the mage birthsign, their magicka attribute will start at a high value. However, the Altmer race may provide low endurance attributes to the player’s character, making them a fragile character.
In contrast, if a player choose the Nordic race with the Warrior birthsign, the player’s character will have high value for the Strength and Endurance attributes. However, that same player and character may have low value for the Personality and Luck attributes for their character. Thus, the attribute calculator does not indicate which races and birthsigns are more better than the others for players, instead, the calculator indicate the cost of each character choice.
Many players may make mistake when allocating their attributes. For instance, many players may increase the Intelligence attribute of their character but neglect to increase the Willpower attribute. Willpower attribute impact the magicka regeneration of the player and their character.
Furthermore, players may ignore the skill gain band for their character, which can result in their character receiving smaller bonuses to their attributes if those players do not consider these choices when create their ideal character. The calculator help to players to avoid these mistake by providing an overview of their current attributes and their projected attributes if they make certain choice. Furthermore, Luck is different from the other attribute in that Luck does not have skill that govern it.
Each point of Luck attributes above 50 will provide a small advantage to the player and their character, but Luck is an expensive attribute to value in the Oblivion game. Thus, players can choose to invest in Luck after forming their other attributes or invest in Luck at the beginning of the game. The attribute calculator create Luck as one of the costs that a player must pay for their character, just as the game handle the Luck attribute for the player.
In general, the player can increase different attribute to impact their character in different ways. For instance, a high endurance attribute will increase the survival ability of the player’s character in situations such as ambush. High speed attribute will allow the player to move more easily.
Thus, the player use the attribute calculator to see what attributes their character will have prior to invest in those attributes.
