When you are building a character, you must decide how much time and resin you are willing to put in to make your character more stronger. Characters requires several materials to reach a high level, including level caps, ascension phases, talent books, and weekly boss drops. If you do not plan for these materials, then your character will be incomplete and unable to be used within the Abyss.
Characters are only considered complete when these requirements have all been fulfilled, which take a significant amount of time to complete over a period of several weeks. Your planning should occur before you commit to spending any resin. Planning before you spend resin will allow you to understand what requirements there are for each phase of the characters development.
How to Plan Your Character
You need to understand how much experience is required to reach the characters level, and whether or not your inventory contains the materials necessary to reach that level. Without knowing these requirements, you may end up committing to one character too early, and finding that you cant find the necessary materials to complete other characters levels of 70. The planner will calculate the requirements for your character before you even start committing to resin spending, eliminating the need for spreadsheet.
Character rarity will play a crucial role in your plan. Rarity affects how much experience is required of a character, as well as the number of drops that you will be required to collect. Five-star characters require more experience than four-star characters, but both type of characters can reach the same level of 90.
The planner accounts for this when you choose the rarity of your chosen character, eliminating the need to remember different tables of requirements based on the rarity of the character. Additionally, the planner will let you set different talents on the same character to view the cost of advancing the burst from 8 to 10 before you begin spending your weekly boss drops and crowns to advance that talent. The limitation of resin will have an impact on your plan.
Boss drops average to 2.5 drops per boss run, but you may require 46 drops in order to complete the final ascension of a character. Additionally, talent domains provide 2.2 talents every 20 resin, but only on specific days of the year. By planning your resin budget for the character, the planner will provide an estimated number of days that will be required to complete your plan.
This number is an estimate only, since events may change the amount of resin that you are able to condense in a given number of days. However, this will allow you to see the estimated number of days that you will complete your plan before the next character banner. Inventory is another crucial component of your plan.
It is easy for people to forget how many of each item they own. For instance, it is easy to know that you have 90 local specialty, but you may have already used some of your boss drops on another character. The planner will account for the number of items that you own, automatically subtracting from the requirements of that character; therefore, showing you the shortfall of that specific character.
Knowing this shortfall will allow you to decide whether or not you would like to run that boss one more time before the reset of that specific boss. The drops from the bosses follow a specific economy within Genshin. This is to ensure that lower tier items are used in the early phases of a character, while higher tier items are used later.
Additionally, the talents themselves also use these items. Therefore, if you do not plan for this split between lower, middle, and higher tier items, you may end up with an excess of one tier, and not have enough of the other. The planner groups these items separately.
The priority of your talents will play a role in the amount of time that you will spend farming for your character. If you select a balance for your talents, you will even the demand for each of the talents. Choosing to farm for your burst first will increase your demand for philosophies and weekly drops, but not the others.
Therefore, choosing for which talent to focus your efforts may shorten the amount of time that it will take to farm for your character. While the planner will not change the cost of the talents, it will inform you of which route for farming will take the least amount of time to complete. EXP books are different than the other materials required of your character.
EXP books can be obtained from ley lines at all times. The only limit to the EXP books that you obtain is resin and time. By planning your character build, the planner will tell you how many Hero’s Wit, Adventurer Experience, and Wanderer Advice you will need.
By having this number, you can more easily decide which smaller EXP books you should farm to avoid wasting resources. Mora is used for each component of the plan. You use mora to level your character, to ascend, and for each talent level.
While it is possible to know how many mora is required for each component of your character, the total isnt immediately obvious. For instance, leveling a talent to 10 will cost more mora than all of the ascension levels of a character. Thus, the planner will provide a total cost for all of the mora that will be spent.
By testing your plan, you can adjust the characters level requirement, as well as adjust the level of any talent. By making these changes to the character plan, you will be able to see which upgrades will take the most time, and which will take the least amount of time. This will allow you to have multiple characters leveled at the same time.
By planning your character, you will have a better understanding of the games components. Boss materials will play a crucial role in the game because there is no rush for boss materials. Additionally, local specialties will follow a schedule for when they will respawn.
Finally, crowns are rare; thus, choosing to level a talent to 10 is a more crucial decision. By understanding these components of the game, the numbers will be decisions that you make with an understanding of the requirements for each of these components.
