Mastering the skill trees in MU Online are a necesary process for players who want move from the early stages of the game to the endgame. When a player reach the master level, there is no longer any obvious upgrade to MU Online skills. Instead, the player must decide how to distribute any point that a game provide to the skill trees.
While many players consider the skill trees to be a checklist that must be completed once during gameplay, the skill trees require constant management from players as the attribute of attack, defense and utility trade off against each other as players reach higher master levels and change gear. The attack tree is the most common skill tree that players select points for as it provide immediate increase to a player’s damage numbers. By investing into the attack tree, players can increase their critical chance, their skill damage, and their elemental attack bonuses.
How to Balance Skill Points in MU Online
However, focusing entirely on the attack tree come with its problems as the player may be able to quickly clear waves of enemies, but they may die just as quick if they dont have enough defense or utility skill. A calculator can assist a player with the game by performing the math required to determine how points can be distributed among the skill trees in a way that remove the guesswork that players often have regarding whether their distribution of points will help them reach there goals. Defense points are somewhat different than attack points in that they do not create as large numbers on the screen as attack points.
Defense points increase a player’s HP pool, damage absorption and success rates for defensive action. These points are critical for players who wish to participate in events like the castle siege or the chaos castle as making one mistake during these events can end a player’s participation in the event. Defense points are more difficultly to balance than attack points as they are only useful after investing in the attack tree to participate in combat, but in
These utility improvements allow a player to farm a specific location for longer period of time, and these utility improvements help a support character remain useful to a party.
The balance rating provided by the calculator is useful for showing how much a player’s distribution of game points differ from the requirements of a specific in-game activity. Each character in the game have different requirements for the balance of attack, defense, and utility attributes. For example, Blade Knights and Rage Fighters require a balance that is more weight towards attack, but also include some requirement for defensive attributes.
Soul Masters and Summoners classes require more utility points than the amount of attack power that they contribute to a fight due to the failure of their skills if there is a decrease in the availability of mana or barriers. Lastly, Dark Lords must have a balance of attributes in the middle of attack and defense because their pet rely upon attack abilities to deal with damage to the enemies in a fight, and their survival in a siege depend upon having defensive attributes. The tool includes presets for each class to make it easy for players who are not performing a complete respec of their characters to create a viable attribute distribution.
Presets allow players to load a pattern that has been proven effective for a specific class, and to adjust that basic distribution of points according to a player’s specific need. Presets are helpful for avoiding the mistake of placing all of a player’s game points into one attack tree without a plan. The gear that a player use changes the value of each point invested into a skill tree.
Better gear will increase the value of attack skill nodes compared to defense nodes, and the master level skill distributions that is best for one character can be less effective for another character with a different gear selection. This factor can be adjusted in the game to allow players to see how their skill tree distribution will appear with better gear. While there is no perfect balance of attack, defense, and utility attributes, a player must make a decision regarding which attributes will be sacrificed for which.
For farming games, utility and defense skills are more valuable than attack skills. For activities like winning duels or battling bosses, attack skills will be more valuable than utility and defense skill. While the calculator does not make these decisions for players, it does make visible the consequence of these decisions.
