In Borderlands 2, reaching level 80 mean that the player will have to make a decision as to whether they will place the skill point into a capstone skill or a survival skill. If the player intends to play with a team of other players, they should also consider how there skills may provide help for others within that team.
Not all characters requires the same distribution of skill points. For instance, the character Axton utilizes the Guerrilla skill tree to ensure that his turret’s uptime, but he may also utilize the Gunpowder skill tree to increase his explosive damage. However, if Axton does not gain enough skill point in one skill tree, he may struggle with his turrets not being active when needed.
Characters like Maya require a balance between her crowd control skill and healing skill. Characters like Salvador must balance his dual wielding skills with his toughness skill. Characters like Zer0 must find a balance between his sniping and melee combat skill.
Characters like Gaige must find a balance between the chaos create by the Anarchy skill with his Deathtrap skill uptime. Finally, characters like Krieg must find a balance in his fire skill uptime so that he can survive combat. A common mistake with Borderlands 2 is to ignore how difficult the game is going to be.
For instance, on the easier difficulty the player can spend more time experimenting with their skills. However, on more difficult mode, the player must be more efficient with their skill point and items. For example, difficulties like OP10 require the player to have slag, sustain and high focus stat level because the enemies has more health on these difficulty.

The first is the build rating that indicates that the players skill have good synergy. Damage indices will measure the damage that the player can deal in the game, while the survivability indices will indicate the amount of effective health that the player has. Action cycle will provide insight into how often the player can use there special ability.
