Destiny 2 is a dynamic MMO with one evolving world that you and your friends can join any time and where any time entirely free. It combines first-person shooting with elements of role-playing and massive online multiplayer. Players can find secrets of the solar system and have responsive fight from the first person.
You unlock strong elemental powers and gather special weapons to change your Guardian and style of game. That is a part of the fun. The game has cinematic story, co-op missions that are hard, and various PvP modes, enjoyed alone or with friends.
Destiny 2: Game, Raids and Expansions
The first Destiny had easy matchmaking that limited communication only to players matched together.
Destiny 2 improves everything that made the original Destiny great and introduces a more stable model of content. While more than seven years of existence it received several extensions, among which some rank among the best works of Bungie. All are availble: The Final Shape, Lightfall, Beyond Light Pack, The Witch Queen, Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, Forsaken Pack and Shadowkeep Pack.
The Final Shape stands out. It has a story centered on characters and focus on improvement of the play almost everywhere, so it feels like what Destiny 2 wanted to be originally. With its campaign, new destination, fresh activities and story continuation, it most closely hits the original promise of Bungie about a shared sci-fi world.
The first raid of Destiny 2, Leviathan, is extremely difficult. Solving its common mysterious riddles can be both rewarding although gone. Mostly every failure teaches something new.
But the game had ups and downs. Low participation and sales caused a big financial toll before a new extension. Thanks to launch on Steam, Destiny 2 stays between the upper 100 games during years.
At every new extension it goes up in the top 10. To play Destiny 2 on Steam, you must create an account here, because migration from Battle.net is no longer possible since December 2020.
Guardians follow a mysterious signal until a planetoid on the edge of the solar system, where they find truth that alters their future. New campaigns, destinations, skills and weapons keep the experience fresh. Community stays active with forums and clan recruitment to help findgroups and discuss the game.
