Mists of Pandaria was the fourth expansion of World of Warcraft. Chris Metzen officially shared it on October 21st 2011 during BlizzCon 2011. The expansion appeared in September 2012 after the Disastrous patch.
Mists of Pandaria: Release, Sales and New Content
It managed to sell 2.7 millions of copies during the first sale-week. That successful start raised the global number of subscribers of the game above the 10 millions.
The expansion brought seven fresh regions in Pandaria, plus new starting territory for the pandaren race called the Wandering Islands. The players could strip old kingdoms and struggle against recently waking up bad force in the shady parts of the continent. Blizzard went from its usual world full of orcs and dwarves to expand the horizons a bit.
It carried new racial type, plus additional gameplay options, story-full adventure and whole series of elements, that made it another exclusive World of Warcraft exapnsion.
The game carried many Chinese attributes, like lovely pandas, beauty of buildings in classical Chinese mode, for instance big wall and other impressive attributes. The pandaren races turned out quite attractive wholes.
Play of tanking in Mists of Pandaria truly pleased. The players received rewards for balance absorbing of wounds against resistance and dealing of attack. Tank players owned the most rugged protection between all play types.
In earlier expansions, tanking was simply like parking of boss-monster. The Brewmaster Monk class was especially joyful to use.
The range of classes reached its peak during that expansion. The most many specialties won many new skills in that period. The gateways too raid actions truly seemed funny and well planned, with Throne of Thunder as main sample.
Some impressions of Mists of Pandaria marked the moment, when the final remains of the old style of thrill disappeared, although Catastrophe already gave the decisive push for traditional notions.
Mists of Pandaria Classic emerged on July 21st, with prior patching starting on July 1st. It offers warm improvements for rush reputations and flying, smooth Talent options for classes and fresh difficulty grade in the Dungeon Group Finder. Getting the top easily is possible even for late starters. The Heroic Dungeons form excellent departure, that allows players join the legendary quest without need to find raid-group.
Blizzard created also updates for the Raid Finder in the Classical fashion.
The expansion commonly shortens to MOP or simply Mists. It indeed lost around three millions of subscribers during its duration, but the pandas show enough popularity to sell millions ofcopies directly at the launch.
