Once you find weapon, that climbs in Expedition 33, it quickly changes the whole game. In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, every weapon reaches its max at level 33, but here everything that makes the whole system bright is not only simple increase of force. They unlock in certain spots, and here starts the real interest.
At the base, all weapons have basic damage. This basic damage grows thanks to your stats. It is possible by default, that strengthens both your usual attacks and your special resources.
Why Weapons Get Much Stronger at Level 33
Even so that does not describe the whole picture. Every weapon depends on two extra stats, that expand its attack power. The more you put in that stat, the more well your weapon works.
The letter grades show how much attack power you get from those stats. There is a whole system of levels: D, C, B and S. D is the weakest, while S the strongest. Think about it like this: weapon with S-scaling for it is possible rewards putting into it are possible much more than one with C-scaling.
This diffrence of grades truly matters, when you decide where to use your spots.
Here comes the fresh part. While you level up weapon, its scaling ranks improve over time. Weapon, that starts at C-rank in a stat?
It jumps to B at level 4. Later it passes to A at level 20. At the max level 33, it already reaches S-rank.
Like this something, what seems average at first, becomes truly mighty during the thyme pass.
You always can boost your attack power everywhere. But every weapon scales with two other stats, and the better its scaling ranks, the more they earn the putting in stats. When you equip weapon, that extra bonus adds to its whole power, that then affects the damage of your character.
Better scaling does, that your putting in stats gives bigger impact.
We take the Lighterim as sample. It climbs with Defence and Agility. If you put spots in that stat, it directly boosts the whole attack power of Lighterim, letting it deal big damage.
Other weapon scales with different stats, and each of them gives passive impact, when it is upgraded.
Focusing on it is possible and Luck at first makes sense. But when appears weapon, that scales with other stats, it is worth to rearrange your build for it. The change from level 32 to 33 is truly huge, we talk about a boost of five to six times more.
That burst of damage takes you from good numbers to fully destroyingfinal bosses. It maybe gives better results for spots than stats with lesser scaling during leveling, what can make scaling of weapon seem less important at first. But when everything lines up at high levels, the system truly shows its force.
