By introducing a set of diverse characters with their style of gameplay and abilities, Apex Legends took over the crown for the best battle royale game out there. The gameplay is where Apex shines the most. From impressive interactive playable characters to strategic shooting mechanics and tight controls. The story of Apex Legends has only grown since its initial release in 2019. But with all successful games, there also come a lot of ups and downs. Apex Legends over the years has had its fair share of bugs and crashes.
Apex Not Filling Squad
The latest bug to terrorize the Apex Community is a rather resilient and mean one. This bug drops players during matchmaking even when the ‘Fill Teammates’ option is selected. This goes out for all playing modes including Arena matches, trio, and duos. After dropping alone again and again into the game without my teammates, I’m beginning to think that Apex Legend hates me.
A lot of players took to Reddit and other social media platforms when they first started facing accidental solo drops right after the ‘Fill Teammates’ option was introduced into the game. Initially, the game was always meant to be played as a Team and not solo. The game developers thought this was the way it should be played and it was unhealthy the other way. The game developers eventually took the steps to address this issue by adding this feature.
Now if decide to join by using a ‘’Fill Teammate’ option, the game will only queue you into the game when you don’t have partners to play with. In this case, the new bug just lets you queue alone even when your teammates are ready and available to join. At first, this was great news for players who didn’t want to play in squads.
With the introduction of the feature, the game became immediately buggy. Even when coming back from a squad match and selecting the option again, it was as if the game didn’t acknowledge the change and would dismiss the feature. This left a lot of players eventually stuck without a team even when they selected the ‘Fill Teammate’ feature. Some players have also found the opposite happening to them where they did not select the option but still ended up with teammates.
The game developers immediately took notice of this and started working on a fix for the problem. Respawn took to its drawing board and tweeted too that their team is working on a solution for the problem. The initial assessment is that it might take a while. The only thing you can do is wait for the updated game patch to have the fix. There is probably nothing else you can do now to make it work for you. Respawn also did not mention which updated software patch will have the bug removed but only acknowledged that it will be dealt with.
