🗡 New World Skill Tree Calculator

Map your weapon mastery splits, attribute scaling, and role performance before you respec.

Tip: Build around one core tree first, then use secondary nodes for cooldown reduction, stamina sustain, and crowd control uptime.
Tip: If your tree split is too uneven, you may gain burst but lose passive uptime and combo reliability in long fights.

To optimize an Great Axe in New World, players must carefuly approach the skill trees. Players who feel that there Great Axe is not performing as well then they would like may be experiencing inconsistent damage rotations or inefficient stamina management. Great Axe damage rotations can becomes inconsistent if the player does not properly balance burst damage with sustain damage.

Great Axe players must find a balance between burst and sustain damage. Burst damage can provide the Great Axe player with high damage output over short period. However, sustain damage allow the Great Axe to continue fighting after utilizing burst damage.

How to Build a Good Great Axe in New World

Every weapon in New World has two distinct skill tree branches. Players can distribute their skill points between the primary and secondary tree for their weapon. Great Axe players can invest 13 points into the primary damage tree and 7 points into the secondary utility tree for the Great Axe.

Great Axe players need damage to perform well in combat but also need utility to survives combat. Great Axe players who ignore the utility tree will find themselves with a weapon that provides high damage but prevents them from surviving combat encounter. Life Staff healers must find a balance between the damage and toughness attribute on their character for the same reasons.

Life Staff healers must provide healing for their parties but must also be able to survive the mutation phase of there teammates. Attributes is essential for determining the damage that a player’s weapon will deal. Each weapon has a primary attribute that increase the damage that it deals.

Strength is the primary attribute for the Great Axe weapon, while Dexterity is the primary attribute for the Bow weapon, and Intelligence is the primary attribute for the Fire Staff weapon. Players should aim to reach 300 to 350 points in their primary attribute at the end of the game. This will increase the damage that their weapon does.

However, they should not neglect their secondary attributes as this will decrease the utility of their character and their weapon. Utility attribute allow players to extend the debuff that their weapon deals to enemies. Activity modes change how that player should distribute their skill points into their weapon trees based on the different activity mode available in the game.

Assassin classes require burst damage and crowd control in PvP match. Therefore, an assassin using a Rapier should focus on their damage chains. Warriors require utility to survive.

Therefore, an Ice Gauntlet user should focus on control node. For expeditions, players require sustain. Therefore, a healer in an expedition should focus on passive skill.

Players should aim for an uptime of 85% to 90% for their skill rotations because having high uptime increase a players combat power index. If a players uptime drop below 80%, their combat power index will decrease. Utility nodes are necessary to complete certain skill combo and connect active skills together.

Utility nodes include cooldown reducer, stamina regeneration, and crowd control extensions. Players should aim for 5 to 9 utility nodes depending on what role they want to play. Tanks should aim for 8 to 10 utility nodes because they need to hold the frontline in the enemy.

However, assassins should aim for 3 to 5 utility nodes because they are in combat for more shorter periods of time. Players who aim to focus solely on dealing damage to enemies will find their reliability in combat to decrease. Players should avoid the trap of copying skill tree split from other players.

For example, the skill tree split might work for a player who plays ranged damage spell but may not work for solo farming because solo farming requires more sustain from players. Both active and passive skill must work together to create an effective pressure chain. One way to manage skill tree split is by using presets.

Presets allow players to set their attributes and skill node in the game. Additionally, game calculators can assist players in creating a respec blueprint to enhance the power of their attributes. Finally, players must manage their stamina and ensure that everyone in the game are synergistic with one another.

Stamina management allow players to use dodge chains effectively during combat. Having a good amount of group synergy mean that players’ skills will complement others in the game. Players should use shrines to respec their Great Axe because it is inexpensive to respec attributes.

However, players should of plan their skill tree split before they begin to respec their attributes. If the mastery readiness percentage hit 100% or higher, the players skill tree will be able to function efficient.
