Skill trees in Rafa require careful planning because they dictates how a person moves through the combat. A person can choose to put all the skill points into one lane or spread the points across many of the skill tree lanes to create a hybrid build. However, putting points into many of the skill tree lanes can result in a mediocrely hybrid build.
For these reasons, a person should plan how they will split there skill points before committing their skill points to each of the skill trees. Each of the skill trees in Rafa contain several specific lane that provide different benefits to a player. The Assault lane provides frontline grit for a player to take most of the damage in fights.
How to plan skill points in Rafa
The Mobility lane provides speed to a player and allows them to use aggression to increase there speed. The Tactics lane increases the players capacity to use tech weapons. The Systems lane allow players to manage their hack queue and increases there RAM.
Lastly, the Survival lane provides stealth and pistol precision to a player to use during flanks with enemies. Skill points in Rafa allow players to increase the level of their perk. The milestone bands for skill points is where the perks will unlock new abilities for players.
When a player reaches four skill points in a lane, the core nodes will open to provide access to the perks. At nine skill points, a player will gain access to stronger effects to there character. Fifteen skill points will unlock deep major perks, and this is considered the sweet spot for players to dedicate their points to one primary lane.
At twenty skill points, a player will reach the peak for that specific lane. However, the peak is only effective if the other skill tree lanes back there primary lane. Players should avoid spending their skill points across the different skill tree lanes due to the shallow nature of the early skill points.
Depth in one lane is more important and effective for players than spreading their skill points across many of the skill tree lanes. A player’s weapon choices will have an impact on the way that they should distribute there skill points. For players using cyberdecks, players should lead their attributes with Systems.
For players using blades, Mobility should be the lead attribute for players. For players using shotguns, players should choose the Assault and Tactics attributes. For players using tech weapons, there will be a need for the player to have a high capacity attribute for there skill tree.
For players looking to create a hybrid build, they will have flexibility in there skills, but also risk creating a mediocre character. Players have the ability to use presets to avoid the trial and error of skill trees. The Ghost Runner preset will give the player both Systems and Survival skill points.
The Drone Marshal gives players a Mobility skill point for there blades. Lastly, the Shock Trooper will give a player an Assault skill point that will work well with their shotgun equipped characters. Players should budget the skill points wisely as they will offer options for players in the mid-game; however, they may be wasted in the late game if not properly budgeted.
Many players make the mistake of chasing every node in the skill trees. Chasing every node will lead to a build that will not be strong enough for players to defeat the games bosses. Zone holders should take the Tactics skill point to defend there zones with drones. Finally, tanks who play alone should use the Survival attribute for there shields. The values of the skill trees can change after the game is released.
Players must understand that the skill point splits that they have chosen may need to be changed due to the game patches for specific characters or attributes. Players should ensure that the primary attribute that they have chosen for there character has over thirty percent of there total skill points. The secondary skill trees should provide support for the primary tree without detracting from the skills that the player has designated for there primary tree.
