Banner Carry Rules

Character pity carries within character event wishes. Weapon pity carries within the weapon event wish. Standard pity stays on standard only.

Pull Planning Angle

Future primogems from daily income are folded into your bank, so you can test both current savings and the banner date at once.

Tip: Character pity and weapon fate points never mix, so keep each banner on its own track.
Tip: Weapon path at two fate points turns the next 5-star into your chosen weapon.

The system is a main part of the Gacha in Wish Banners of Genshin Impact. It helps to lower risk in the Gacha, tracing the number of draws since the last rare reward. When you reach a set limit, a high-rare item is promised.

In Genshin Impact that is 4-star or 5-star character or weapon. Like this it ensures, that after a set number of wishes you get items of certain rarities. For instance, players find such items inside a finite amount of wishes.

How the Pity System Works in Genshin Impact

Are different kinds of pity. Hard pity marks the spot where 5-star is promised: for characters at 90 wishes, for weapons at 80. Some think, that the 80th wish is for weapons.

After a pull of 5-star character the count restarts. Is also soft pity, that raises probability before the hard limit. For 5-star characters it starts around 74, although the chance really grows after 70 one source says 75 others mention 74 or 75.

For 4-star items the cap is 10.

The 50/50 system works especially. It gives a 50% chance for the shown character; if you miss, the next 5-star is promised. For character banners 5-star is promised in 90 draws.

Pity does not move between different banners, but stays between similar ones. Event and standard banners have separate counts. No matter time, pity stays the same…

Even if history fades from sight, it lasts.

You can trace pity yourself. Player counts it opening the wish page and clicking the history for a certain banner. A wish costs 160 primogems.

Tools as Genshin Impact Wish Summarizer follow the amount and record of received characters or weapons. They automatically import data of PC, Android, iOS or PlayStation, saving history more than 6 months. Also they analyse all banners and guess the pity.
