Based on community reviews and info shared about talent in wow classic, here the main things that you should know.
In wow classic talent is a special skill or spell for a class, that unlocks and grows stronger by means of points in talent. Every class offers three different trees to choose, and everything that truly does characters unique. Two players with the same class can experience the game entirely differently, because depending on that as they arrange their skills.
How Talents Work in WoW Classic
That forms a key part of classic wow, that allows you to create a character entirely yours.
When you progress in levels, you get points for talent. The first comes at level 10 later one each level until 60. In whole, that gives 51 points for the endgame.
When you lay the first point, you can place it somewhere in the bottom part of any from your three trees. But mind: you need to invest 5 points in that base before opening the deeper powers. That system of tiers is pretty easy.
Planning of your build is common between players, and calculators for talent simplify it a lot. Choose your class, later spread all 51 points according to desire through the trees, it works in real time and adjusts right away while you click. Even more useful, many of those tools generate their own link for any arrangement that you do.
So you can send it too friends, in guild chat or forums of community, and they will see exactly your ideas. There are several apps for phones available in the App Store for iOS, that cover the advantage of classic wow, TBC and Wrath of the Lich King. They benefit from local iOS elements with clear images, that look well on iPhone and iPad, plus they help to save builds and sort sequence of talent.
Some skills in classic wow are really a bit sad. For instance, arms warriors and fury warriors have a lot of talents costing five points, that simply bind you to one kind of weapon. Protection warriors suffer because of lack of threat to control groups well.
Magicians? Frost was mostly the only practical kind for leveling, because Improved Blizzard allowed to slow everything that attacks you, what opened big potential for farming by means of area hits.
For knowing what truly works, pages like Wowhead and Icy Veins offer reliable guides about good arrangements for PvE and PvP situations. The sequence of spending of points does not matter a lot… Simply stress that, what most is useful in your present phase of progress.
Combining skills from different trees (hybrid arrangements) is fully possible, if you want both area damage and target damage.
Changing of talent costs silver and feels bad, so some players choose PvP arrangements already from the start to escape that later. The playable classes are druid, hunter, magician, paladin, priest, rogue, shaman, warlock and warrior, each with their own trees for talent and community advice. Season of Discovery even introduces runes besides the talent, whatgives more freedom in builds.
