Xenoblade Chronicles is made up of a set of role-playing games, that Monolith Soft created and Nintendo released. This series belongs to the bigger Xeno series, that carries also Xenosaga and Xenogears. Tetsuya Takahashi created and led it.

The first Xenoblade Chronicles appeared for the Wii console and later one could get it on Wii U by means of virtual console, New Nintendo 3DS in improved version and Nintendo Switch.

About the Xenoblade Chronicles Games

The Ultimate Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles brings features and updates to the original game. Moreover it includes a nice new epilogue. This epilogue, called Future Connected, sits one year after the main plot.

It explores more closely the relation between Shulk and Melia, while they struggle against new mysterious Damage.

The first game impresses with its beauty and scope, similarly to every good calming RPG. It presents a great history with huge scale, that happens in a gripping and attractive world. During the game progress, one finds new combat tools and strategies step by step.

Pace never seems too heavy. The tutorials stay short, but quite clear, and the game stresses access based on learning by means of performance. Only in this aspect, Xenoblade Chronicles surpass most other games of its kind.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a science-fiction role-playing game, that also Monolith Soft created. It first came out for the Wii U. The plot deals with the destruction of the Earth by militant alien species, that chose the homeland of folks as battleground. The final human survivors flee on enormous spacecrafts and wander in space searching for new shelter.

In the Ultimate Edition, the time is the year 2054. A colonial ship with human survivors falls on the unknown planet Mira, and the main character can be shaped freely.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Ultimate Edition will appear on Nintendo Switch March 20th 2025. It runs in 4K-quality when connected and 1080p when portable. Physical copies will reach stores April 16th.

The version for Switch adds extra changes beyond those in the prior Switch edition. It stores fresh story parts and visual improvements. Until now there are know messages about a version for computers, so release on Steam seems unlikely.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 happens in the world of Alrest, that is a globe above a huge sea from clouds. Monsters called Titans roam in that sea, and folks live on their backs. In the heart of Alrest sits the World Tree.

The stories through the whole series are technically separate, likewise as in Final Fantasy. Even so in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the ties between the games show. There is DLC, that allows to use characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and X in the second game.

Torna ~ The Golden Land works as a prequel expansion for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 does not obey the same laws as the prior parts. Its unusual setting offers a new viewpoint about known themes. Sacrifice is the main reason, especially as it affects the life of others.

The game received rating T for Teens because of words, a bit of blood, suggestive ideas andviolence. It came out July 29th 2022.
