Apex Legends is a free fight-royale game, in which famous characters with strong teams struggle for glory and money at the limits of the Frontier. Respawn Entertainment created it, the same folks that did the Titanfall series, and Electronic Arts released the game. It runs on computers, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Players form teams from three characters and enter matches using ready players called Legends. Each of them has unique skills, playstyle, look and history that separates it from the rest. Since the launch they introduced new modes, that allows teams up to four players.
How to Play Apex Legends
Usually a new Legend appears at the start of every season.
The game enjoys a fullness, something that not every fight-royale game can say about itself. It is simple to learn, without too many troubles, and it brings interesting fresh elements to the genre. Because of the late arrival to the fight-royale market, Respawn had chances to observe other games and learn from their mistakes.
The system of pings genuinely works well and helps a lot in teamwork.
Newcomers can choose Wraith, Bangalore or Gibraltar as good options. They have passive skills that make the survival during the first moments of attack easier. It is not too difficult too learn, and trying in the first matches genuinely is useful.
Best is to find one Legend together with two weapons that match, and later study map movements, what spots work for fight and how to position yourself.
Maps in the game are Olympus, World’s Edge and others. There is also a weapon called the Havoc, that uses energy as ammo. Some Legends receive updates occasionally, and the whole game improves with balanced changes each season.
The 28th season marks the start of the 7th year in the game, and Respawn followed its custom of big change in the gameplay for the birthday.
Apex Legends have a store inside the game, but the game itself is entirely free. As a big studio, Respawn ensures high quality and good support. This is not an average free game.
It truly is real great compared to half finished games that cost a lot. Even so, occasionally random partners can be problems, so finding friends or a community to play together genuinely helps.
On Steam, the game reached its all-time highest number of 624,473 players on February 18th 2023. There is a version for Nintendo Switch, but it is not the best way to play unless that is youronly chance. Limited time events happen often, giving free prizes for finishing challenges.
Some challenges simply require to enter one time daily. Also the Ranked Mode gives prizes for climbing the ranks.
