Grinding Gear Games, studio from New Zealand with passion for games, coined Path of Exile (free available online action RPG), that appeared on computers at the end of October 2013 after successful open beta. It casts players in Wraeclast, dark fantasy ground where you play as exile, thrown from civilisation and left to survive in landscape fully hostile, where danger will expect always.

Path of Exile: A Free Action RPG to Play Alone or With Friends
Take until five friends to address the content together, or go alone. Choose yourself. The game operates on computers, macOS, Xbox and PlayStation, so there is no excuse to ignore it.
Even so, the tree of skills is genuinely wild, what commonly shocks newcomers a bit too. There are so many skill links and ways of skills, that it can seem paralysing at first.
Path of Exile borrows ideas from Diablo II, but never seems simply a copy. It seizes you by means of that famous atmosphere, later surprisingly builds his own bizarre systems, dark places and surprise encounters with enemies, that always feel new. You start as one from six classes, and when you reach the first town in Wraeclast, missions will lead you into the wild to gather with monsters, cannibals and even beasts.
What keeps the game fresh is the continuous flow of updates and new leagues, that come commonly.
When dealing about spending actual money, the secret lids genuinely deserve attention. According to my experience, the currency-lid first gives the biggest advantage, later come either better or quadruple lid according too your style of game. Later, the chart-lid eases things well, while the fragmented lid helps with the crafting of items, gifts or changes.
Beyond the main management, you must care about the Passive Tree and the Atlas Tree, plus special Classes that allow focus as well. Add to that custom filters for items and active shared wiki, and you have all tools, that you need.
Path of Exile 2 is the sequel, that Grinding Gear Games prepared, another action RPG happening years later, where players return ready to Wraeclast to fight against growing corruption. It can hold until six players in collaboration and is also entirely free. Early access opens December 6th 2024, and that is the only mode offered during launch.
The director Jonathan Rogers explained, that the game will not have early access for long time, so do not expect normal full release year. Big content update called The Third Edict will come with entirely new action, new area and refreshed async trade system.
Path of Exile well served for casual players, that simply want to enter new league and offer builds, that sound funny. But warning: if you like it, you risk to lose hundreds oreven thousands of hours in it.
