If you are into flying up to the sky and dodging bullets in a swirl of throwing black hole detonations at your enemy all the while with mortars raining on you, then you might be into Apex Legends. Released in 2019, Apex Legend has only grown more popular over time. The best part about his game is its ever-growing gameplay ingenuity, fresh ideas, and great content. Apex Legend’s fast-paced gameplay and 1v1 and team matches are only overshadowed by its versatility over how good it performs on mobile and other systems as well. Apex Legends is considered a battle royale like no other.
Amassing over a large customer base since its release in 2019, the game has only grown and with it also has some growing pains. With a platform so massive it sometimes ends up with bugs and crashes. And just like that, a new problem has emerged in Apex Legends that has left players frustrated. With a release of a recent software patch, the game made most of its characters to be locked. The problem with this is that the bug leaves the characters locked which previously might have been unlocked by the players. If you are in the same situation where your players are locked after the latest patch then this is what you need to do.
Why Is Everything Locked On Apex Legends?
The latest patch update left quite a toll on the game and its players. Some who were able to get the game started without any problems saw that most of their playable characters were locked. Since you are no longer to select these characters, you are only left with a limited number of palatable characters on Apex Legends.
Some good news is that only players getting locked are the only feature affected. You will not lose any game progress or credits with this issue. The recent bug has also introduced darkened textures that have led to dark areas over part of the maps and some textures missing on the screen.
How to Fix Locked Characters in Apex Legends
With widespread controversy over the patch update problems, many players have taken to the internet to respond to it. Unfortunately, there isn’t a quick fix to this problem. Just like any errors or bug problems, the developers of Apex have already started working on the problem and actively looking up to release an updated patch to get this bug fixed. Respawn went over to Twitter and conveyed to fans that they are looking over the issue. They acknowledged how this is creating a problem with a lot of characters and that updates will be coming soon.
If you are late to the news and still haven’t gotten the problem fixed then you might need to go to the Origin game launcher and select Apex Legend. In the settings, you will find ‘Update Game’ to download the latest patch from the developers.
