The PS5 DualSense wireless controller ranks among the best controllers for the PlayStation 5. It includes haptic feedback, adaptive triggers together with built-in microphone and speaker, so that you do not need headphones for chat with online friends. Sony gave it the name “DualSense” what shows the change from simply double joysticks and buttons to focus on combined sensory feedback and immersion.
Adaptive triggers give an entirely new experience. While you pull the trigger of a weapon in a game, the controller gives resistance, that feels different than with other tools. Haptic feedback adds another level of immersion.
PS5 DualSense: Features, PC Use and Problems
This makes the DualSense stand out from the crowd.
The controller works well also on PC. Its solid build, smooth form and USB-C port all help it. To connect it to PC, use USB-cable or Bluetooth.
Windows-PC with USB-port or Bluetooth-ready system works, and store-bought Bluetooth-USB-adapter can serve also. In Steam, an option called “Switch PlayStation-support” finds the PS5 controller. Note, that through Bluetooth-link on PC, haptic feedback at buttons and resistance of adaptive triggers do not feel the same as on PlayStation.
Also sound from the speaker is missing. Some games show Xbox-button-icons instead of PlayStation ones, which can a bit upset.
Sony designed the DualSense and other PS5-extras for also PC, Mac and mobile devices. An update simplified the pairing of controllers with several devices at the same time. Even so, when the controller is bound to PS5, switching connections with Mac ore mobile device is not possible.

stick drift is a common problem with the standard DualSense. The thumbsticks can wear out sooner than one expects. Some controllers last years without any issues, while others develop stick drift in months.
The DualSense Edge is a more premium version with swappable sticks, that costs only around twenty dollars to replace, if stick drift appears. The Edge has big buttons on the back and strong build quality. It usually costs about two hundred dollars, but during sales one found it for hundred sixty-nine dollars.
There are also third-party choices. The Victrix Pro BFG is a wireless controller, that works with PS5, PS4 and PC, and has swappable buttons, fixed triggers and options for joysticks. The Nacon Revolution-controller has a switch on the back to swap between PC- and PS5-modes.
Custom controllers from stores like Reflex have four adjustable back paddles and swappable thumbsticks. Limited runs of DualSense-controllers come in various themed looks, among them those inspired by games. The Midnight Blackversion pulls ideas from the sight of deep space through the night sky.
