Kingdom Hearts form a series of thrilling role-playing games, that Square Enix created and published although everything started at Square itself. Now the whole series belongs to the Walt Disney Corporation. It was born from a partnership between those two companies, and the idea came from the heads of Square workers, between that were the Japanese Tetsuya Nomura and Shinji Hashimoto, designers of games.
The notion to mix the dark patterns from Final Fantasies with the joyful characters of Disney maybe sounds absurd. Even so it works well as a dynamic adventure, that raises the passions of both sides.
About Kingdom Hearts
One can describe the series best as a crossing between Final Fantasies and Disney worlds. The history starts with something called the Fight of the Keyblades. That happened when one single world lay bathed in the blue light of Kingdom Hearts.
Kingdom Hearts itself is a core element in the universe of the series. It forms the heart of every world and the source of endless force and meaning. They can look at it as a mix of many hearts.
It is the cause, that received the light of the start and works as the centre of the whole cosmos.
In the first game we follow a boy of fourteen years, called Sora. His birthplace, the Island Goal, fell seized by gloom. That scattered him from two friends, Riku and Kairi.
Later he goes on adventures to fix his world and meet them again. During the way he finds characters from classic Disney films and from games of Final Fantasies. The main theme song bears the name “Simple and Clean”, that sounds from Utada Hikaru.
In time, this game comes after Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and before Chain of Memories.
Kingdom Hearts III forms the ninth part of the series. It tells about the fource of friendship, while Sora with his friends enters a risky journey through worlds of Disney and Pixar. The game appeared on January 29th 2019 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
To finish the main story takes around 39 hours. The DLC Re:MIND is more of an add-on to Kingdom Hearts III than real extra.
There exists a remastered collection, called Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. It stores Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, remastered cutscenes from 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep Final Mix and remastered cutscenes from Re:coded. The set covers the earliest six stories of the series.
Kingdom Hearts II picks up from hear, where the first game and Chain of Memories ended, and leads players through worlds based around Disney.
Kingdom Hearts 4 will launch a whole fresh storyline, called the Arch of the Lost Master. The prior line, sometimes called the Arch of the Seeker of Darkness, stretched through several games. Also the series arrived on PC for the first time on March 30th 2021, only on the Epic Games Store.
Later it came out also on Steam. The combat systems through the games are rich, with many modes to adapt tactics andsetups, to beat even the most tough enemies.
